New Taken 3 Movie Delivered Great Action,Drama,Twists & More
20th Century FOX released their new action/thriller flick, “Taken 3,” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out and thought it was highly entertaining, serving up a ton of action with major drama and twists at every turn. It stars: Famke Janssen, Liam Neeson, Dougray Scott, Forest Whitaker, Maggie Grace, Leland Orser and Sam Spruell.
In the new flick, everything seems fine and dandy at first. Brian Mills (Liam Neeson) is seen, getting his daughter, Kim (Maggie Grace), a birthday present that’s way too childish for an adult woman, who has actually just found out that she’s preggers, but is hiding it at the moment. Brian is getting along well with his ex-wife, Lenny. A little too well as they end up kissing but have to stop since she’s still married to Stuart St. John.
Shortly after these happy go-lucky scenes, Brian receives a supposed text from Lenny, who tells him to bring over bagels to his apartment. However, when Brian arrives, he finds Lenny in his bed with her throat slashed and cops banging in the door to arrest him for her murder. From there, Brian creates a diversion to escape in an effort to find out who really killed Lenny.
So now, Brian is in a position where he has to dodge the cops and conduct a major investigation at the same time. He gets help from his buddies as he searches for clues. He’s able to retrieve the GPS data from Lenny’s car to eventually find out that she was abducted shortly before the time of her murder after seeing it on a security camera at a gas station she stopped at.
After continually dodging the cops and gathering up as much intel as he could, Brian and his buddies were eventually able to discover that Lenny’s husband ,Stuart, was responsible for Lenny’s murder after getting involved in some shady business dealings. Stuart claimed the man he owed money to an ex-KGB Spetsnaz and Afghan War veteran operative named Oleg Malankov, killed Lenny. However, the twist didn’t stop there as Oleg revealed to Brian that Stuart was actually the one who plotted Lenny’s murder.
Shortly after that, Stuart kidnapped Kim and tried to escape with her on a private plane. This led up to a very suspenseful conclusion where Brian hopped in a snazzy Porsche to make it to Stuart’s take off location in time to stop the plane from taking off and give Stuart a much-deserved ass beating.
Again, I really enjoyed this flick. I was never board as the plot seemed way more interesting than I thought it would be and the twists were excellent. It totally had me intrigued for the entire runtime. I thought Liam did a great job as usual and Forest Whitaker was a great addition as the opposing detective, Frank Dotzler, who was brought in to locate and arrest Brian. I gave the movie an excellent A grade. Stay tuned. Also, get your favorite Movie stuff, and more by Clicking Here.
