New ‘Empire’ Season 4 Teasers Revealed By The Producer And Main Castmembers

Recently, the folks over at TV Guide got to chat up some of the cast and crew of FOX’s hit drama “Empire” when they attended the recent 2017 Television Critics Association Summer press tour earlier this month.

Executive producer Lee Daniels along with main stars Jussie Smollett aka Jamal Lyon, Terrence Howard aka Lucious Lyon and Taraji P. Henson aka Cookie Lyon were all on hand to deliver some good season 4 teaser scoops. It turns out that the crazy killing will continue. We’ll also see more big time guest stars show up in a couple of episodes. Cookie and Jamal might expand the comedic side of their relationship and more.

To start things off, they revealed that we’re going to see more guest star appearances from legendary performers like Phylicia Rashad, Forest Whitaker and Leslie Uggams. Next, they revealed that we’ll see even more drama from Lucious and Cookie. Taraji spoke on this saying, “A lot of women can understand. We have many years to deal with this couple and it’s a complex relationship.”

Next, they also suggested that we’ll see more comedic moments between characters Jamal and Cookie. When asked about that topic, Taraji said, “Oh yes honey we just talked about it.” Then Smollett chimed in to say, “I’ve always said Taraji is the love child of Bette Davis and Samuel L. Jackson. She looks like a leading lady but she’s a character actor. She’s one of the funniest people alive.”

Next, they confirmed that we’ll see more extreme violence take place in season 4. Producer Lee Daniels told them that the Lyons are going to keep doing what they do best. “They’re gonna keep killing.” Season 3 left off with a few very violent outcomes. Lucious’ crazy mother killed his half brother Tariq by stabbing him in the freaking neck.

Now, Lucious has amnesia and he was the only one to see that lunatic murder Tariq. So, she’ll still be out on the loose. There’s no telling what she’ll do next. TV Guide did confidently say we’ll see more characters meet their maker before it’s all said and done.

The new season 4 is currently scheduled to premiere on Wednesday night, September 27th,2017 at 8 pm central standard time on FOX. Stay tuned. Also, be sure to follow us on our Empire Facebook page for more Empire news by Clicking Here.
