‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 7 Is Bringing Back Princess Rapunzel For Action, New Details

According to a new report from the folks over at TV Line, the crew of ABC’s fantasy/drama series “Once Upon A Time” has hired actress Meegan Warner (above) to come on and portray the princess character Rapunzel in the upcoming 7th season. Rapunzel was first seen in the show’s third season. At the time,she was played by actress Alexandra Metz.

TV Line gave a brief description of what Rapunzel will be up to in the new season. It turns out that she will be in a very sticky situation with the evil sorceress. She will try to do whatever she can to break the sorceress’ spell that has imprisoned her.

They stated, “Meegan Warner’s version of Rapunzel will find herself magically trapped in a tower by an evil sorceress. Feisty and full of pluck, she will do whatever it takes to break this spell and make the sorceress who imprisoned her pay for those crimes.”

In addition to this casting retweak, actress Dania Ramirez will portray a new version of Cinderella replacing previous actress Jessy Schram. They’re also bringing Alice from “Alice In Wonderland” back. However, she’ll be portrayed by actress Rose Reynolds instead of Sophie Lowe.


Meegan Warner is an Australian actress. Her acting resume includes roles in a short called, “Checkmate Flatmate.” In it, she played character Laura. A TV show called, “Washington’s Spies.” In it, she played character Mary Woodhull.A TV show called, “A Place To Call Home.” In it, she played character Elizabeth. She played character Elisabeth in a TV movie called, “Beauty and The Beast: A Dark Tale.”

She played character Eva in a TV series called,” My Place.” She played character Lorraine in a TV Mini-Series called,”Paper Giants:The Birth Of Cleo.” She appeared in a 2009 TV show called, “Rescue Special Ops.” In it, she played character Cassie. So, is sounds like Meegan has a pretty extensive resume. Welcome her aboard.

In related news, we were able to get some additional news from Entertainment Weekly about what Alice will be doing in the new season 7. They revealed the new intel during their latest Spoiler Room chat session.

A fan asked them a question about Alice. They replied by revealing that Rumpelstiltskin will develop a very interesting curiosity in her. He won’t ever really know where she’s going or what she’s up to.

They stated, “Alice is a character in the vein of Rumplestiltskin in that you don’t really quite know what she’s up to, where she’s going or where she’s been. And that’s a fact that Rumple, in particular, will find curious.”

In other news, the producers recently teased what Emma will be doing in her final episode which will be episode number 2 of the season entitled, ” A Pirate’s Life.” They said, “We get to find out what has happened with Emma and Hook since our happy ending we showed last year. We will be getting closure on her story in what we feel is a satisfying way.”

Showrunner,Edward Kitsis confirmed there will be no flashbacks with the Emma plotline stating, “What we’re not doing is a flashback story where we’re seeing stuff prior to or during the previous six seasons. We’re moving forward past the end of season 6 seeing what happened with Emma and Hook and how it relates to the events in Hyperion Heights. It’s an emotional curtain call.”

So, as of right now, it looks like that will be the last we see of Emma. But who knows? Maybe Emma’s portrayer Jennifer Morrison will change her mind in the future and decides she wants to return. It’s reported that she was the one who decided to leave so it’ll be up to her if she returns or not.
