New Riverdale Season 3 To Feature A Very Special, Important Episode

Hey, “Riverdale” fans. It’s been a while, but we’ve finally got some new, exciting news to share with guys in regards to the upcoming third season. It turns out that a very special flash back to the past episode will be shown which will feature characters Fred Andrews,Alice Cooper, Hermione Lodge and F.P. Jones as high school students.

That’s right. They will be played Riverdale’s main stars KJ Apa aka Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart aka Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes aka Veronica Lodge and Cole Sprouse aka Jughead Jones. Also, this episode will feature Veronica’s father Hiram Lodge as a teenager. Teenage Hiram will be played actor Michael Consuelos. Michael is actually the son of Mark Consuelos who plays the adult Hiram Lodge. So, we think that’ll be pretty interesting to see.

This flashback episode is going to take us all the way back to the 1980s guys. It’s going to feature a Breakfast Club type of feel to it. For those of you who don’t know what the “Breakfast Club” is, it’s a very popular teen movie that was made way back in 1985. The producers have decided to name this episode, “Midnight Club” instead of Breakfast Club, but you can see how the play on words works for this title.

It’s also been revealed that this will actually be the 4th episode of the upcoming third season. To make this episode seem like a more authentic Breakfast Club type setting, the show decided to hire one of the actors from the original “Breakfast Club” movie. It’s none other than Anthony Michael Hall who played the nerdy geek character Brian Johnson in the movie.

In the Midnight Club episode, Anthony Michael Hall will play the high school principle who is named Principle Featherhead. This episode will also feature a dark twist that ends up revealing a very shocking secret that Fred, Alice, F.P., Hiram and Hermione have been keeping hidden from their children for all these years. So, that really does sound quite intriguing.

Anthony Michael Hall actually isn’t the only person they’ve cast from the old Breakfast Club movie. The actress that plays Archie’s mother Mary Andrews was also in the Breakfast Club movie as character Claire Standish. Her name is Molly Ringwald. However, it was pointed out that Molly and Anthony Michael Hall did not get any scenes together in this new Riverdale season 3 episode since it’s a flashback episode. Anyways, that’s just a little fun fact for you guys.

Riverdale’s showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa announced this episode on his official Twitter account back on August 21, 2018 with photos that features actual pictures of Mark Consuelos aka Hiram Lodge, Marisol Nichols aka Hermione Lodge, Luke Perry aka Fred Andrews, Skeet Ulrich aka F.P. Jones and more when they were actually in high school. You guys can view that photo on Roberto’s official Twitter account by Clicking Here.

According to the folks over at elitedaily.com , this new Riverdale season 3 “Midnight Club” episode is reported to be one of the biggest episodes of the new season 3. It’s also going to feature some important, potential game-changers for the whole freaking series! That’s pretty huge.

It’s speculated that this episode will reveal why some of these adult characters are so sketchy at times. It’s also believed that the Midnight Club episode will feature character Alice Cooper as a Southside Serpent and Hiram Lodge as the class jock that Hermione Lodge chose over Fred Andrews.

It might feature a love triangle situation between Alice, F.P. Jones, and Hal Cooper. Alice dated Hal throughout high school, but she also kept up a secret side fling going with F.P. that resulted in her getting pregnant with his baby around the time of the high school’s homecoming dance.
