New ‘Riverdale’ Season 2, May 16, 2018 Episode 22 Storyline Teasers Revealed By The CW

Hey “Riverdale” fans. This past Wednesday night, CW aired the 21st episode of this current season 2. That means it’s time to go over what’s in store for the upcoming season 2 finale episode 22. The CW recently released an official press release for it. It features a brief teaser description, title and who wrote and directed it.

In episode 22, we saw Cheryl just be totally bada@# when she broke out her bow and arrow on one of The Black Hoods. Apparently, we’ve learned there’s more than one. It turns out that Betty was actually right about her father being one of the Black Hoods. I always thought, “No way.” But surely enough, he was, and had no problems totally confessing to it. He’s definitely short on brains.

Then how about Jughead? He was totally beaten to a bloody pulp. It’s hard to imagine he’s still alive after that. We can only hope he’ll miraculously survive that intense beatdown by the vicious Penny and her crew. Veronica’s mother Hermione had to pull out the gun and pump some crazy guy full of bullets! So, all in all, that was a very intense episode to say the very least.

According to the CW press release, the finale episode 22 is revealed to be titled, “Chapter Thirty-Five: Brave New World.” It sounds like it will be quite interesting as Jughead will still be alive and kicking. Archie tries to help Fred’s mayor campaign. Veronica stays on top of her father’s latest plot. Cheryl finishes up her emancipation deal. Betty has a major confrontation and more!

We’ll go ahead and start off this teaser session with the Fred and Archie storyline. It turns out that Fred will be trailing in the poles. So, Archie will try to help remedy that. CW’s description tells us, “With Fred (Luke Perry) trailing in the polls, Archie (KJ Apa) steps in to lend a hand in his dad’s mayoral campaign.”

What will Archie try to pull off to help his father? That’s the huge question for this particular situation. It sounds like it could deliver some very interesting moments. We’ll have to tune in to see how that plays out.

The second storyline teaser reveals that Veronica is really on to her Father Hiram’s latest plot, and will remain one step ahead of it. CW’s description reads like this, “Veronica (Camila Mendes) stays one step ahead after uncovering Hiram’s (Mark Consuelos) latest scheme.”

The third storyline teaser reveals that we’ll see Cheryl finally break away from her evil mother for good. CW’s description tells us, “Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) finalizes her emancipation from her mother.”

I think it’ll be interesting to see what her storylines will look like after getting rid of her mother. Maybe she’ll have Toni move in. Who knows?

The third storyline teaser reveals that Jughead did indeed survive getting the ever-living crap beat out of him because FP will have a shocking announcement for him and the Serpents. CW’s description reads like this, “FP (Skeet Ulrich) makes a surprising announcement to Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and the Serpents.”

What will this startling FP announcement consist of? That’s the major question for this particular plotline.

Last, but most definitely not least, Betty will have yet another extreme confrontation with what they’re describing as being her “darkest demons!” CW’s description tells us, “Finally, Betty (Lili Reinhart) confronts her darkest demons.”

What are the darkest demons Betty will be confronting? That’s the super huge question for this particular storyline. We think this scene will certainly give us something interesting to look forward to. Since this is the finale episode, we imagine that at least one of these storylines will end with a cliffhanger to keep us all wondering over the summer what will happen in the new season 3.

That’s right guys. Season 3 has been officially renewed and announced by The CW! We’re going to do a separate article on that later. Right now, just know and celebrate that your favorite show will be returning next season.

Getting back to this finale episode 23, it’s also revealed that a few more characters will appear in it. They are: Marisol Nichols as character Hermione Lodge, Madchen Amick as chracter Alice Cooper, Ashleigh Murray as character Josey McCoy and Casey Cott as character Kevin Keller.

The CW also released a preview clip for the upcoming finale episode 22. It definitely gives us a better glimpse at what’s in store. Veronica is seen telling her father Hiram, “I won’t stop until all your dirty laundry is exposed.” So, that seems very intense and dramatic. I can’t wait to see how Hiram responds to that serious threat.

And OMG! Cheryl is spotted donning a Southside Serpent jacket. It looks like Toni has gotten her to join the gang. Betty is seen confronting her father while he’s incarcerated. She tells him, “I’m not like you.” He responds with, “Aren’t you?” So, that looks like it’ll be a pretty intense scene.

The clip caps off with Archie saying, “I’m going to make my bones once and for all.” And he’s got a knife in his hand. So, that looks very serious. You guys can view the new preview clip for episode 22 over on Youtube by Click Here.

The CW also released a couple of promotional photos for episode 22. One of them features Josey and Reggie laughing together. There’s a photo of Archie and Veronica hanging out with each other. Veronica and Cheryl are spotted in a scene together.

One of the photos show Veronica and Hermione in a scene that looks pretty intense. Fred, Archie and Hermione are seen in one of the photos. You guys can view all of the episode 22 promotional photos over on Spoiler TV’s site by Clicking Here.

Episode 22 was written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and Steven A. Adelson directed it. It’s confirmed to air this Wednesday night, May 16, 2018 in the same, usual 7 pm central time slot on The CW.
