MasterChef July 18, 2019 Eliminated Keturah King (Episode 11 Recap)

Hey, “MasterChef” fans. Tonight, July 18, 2019, the 11th episode of this current season 10 did indeed air with judges: Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sanchez, and Joe Bastianich. It was an elimination episode that sent another unlucky cook out the door.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the members of the losing red team getting prepped for their elimination competition. It was revealed that they would have to grill up a tasty beef dish in 60 minutes. The winner also got their dish featured on the “Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner” website.

During the challenge, Noah revealed that he was very confident because he’s been grilling his whole life. Keturah told Gordon she was nervous. Gordon told her to visualize the dish in her mind.

Noah appeared to be doing great at about 41 minutes to go. Keturah definitely looked like she was having some problems. She said, “I’m freaking out right now.”

Sarah told Joe and Aaron that she was making some sort of brussel sprout dish at one point. Noah told Aaron and Joe he felt very, very confident at 35 minutes to go.

Wuta told Gordon he was making a New York Strip dish. Since he’s a vegetarian, he said he’ll taste it and spit it out real quick.

At the 30 minute mark, Gordon told the cooks that they would also need to make a grilled dessert to go with the main steak dinner. That, of course, made things even more difficult.

Wuta complained to the private cams, “I don’t eat sweets. My dad’s got diabetes, and my mom is a health nut nurse.” Dorian revealed she’s doing something with plums for her dessert. Micah revealed that he was making a grilled fruit kabob with strawberry, peaches and more.

Keturah looked pretty bad, saying she didn’t know how to make her dessert with 7 minutes to go! Sarah was really behind on her dessert with just 45 seconds left.

After their 60 minutes was up, the judges tasted the dishes. Dorian was up first. She made a t-bone steak dish. Gordon said, “The meat is cooked perfectly. The dessert is delicious, but it had too much spice.” Aaron said, “It looked good visually ,and it’s very well thought out. The flavor is good.”

Jamie was up next with a Tomahawk ribeye: Gordon said, “It’s cooked beautifully, but it had a little too much fat.” Joe said, “It looks great. It’s a perfect medium rare.’ Jamie’s dessert was a caramel peach dish. All the judges said it was very good.

Wuta arrived next with a New York Strip dish. Gordon said, “It needs to be undercooked. It’s overcooked.” Aaron said, “I like the seasoning, but it looked kinda rough.” Joe said, “It’s not a New York Strip.”

Wuta’s dessert was a smore dish with bananas. Joe said, “It’s good.” Gordon said, “It’s bizarre.”

Sarah presented a Tomahawk steak dish. Gordon said, “It’s a breath-taking presentation and delicious.” Joe said, “It’s cooked to perfection.”

Sarah’s dessert was a blackberry pie. Joe said, “It looks good.” Gordon said, “It’s delicious.”

Micah presented a medium rare, barbecue t-bone dish. Gordon said, “It is cooked beautifully.” The other judges agreed.

Micah’s dessert was a fruit skewer: Gordon said, “It’s delicious.” Joe gave him high praise for pulling off a very difficult dessert dish. He said, “bravo.”

Keturah presented a Steak Frites with a spicy ketchup dish. Gordon said, “The meat has good seasoning, but I expected more.” Aaron said, “I’m looking for the hawk in your tomahawk.” Joe said, “It’s more like a tomahawk massacre to me. It’s all over the place.”

Keturah’s dessert dish was some sort of grilled peach dish. Gordon said, “It looked panicked.” He did not like it at all. He said it looked like something that should be on Masterchef Junior.

Finally, Noah presented his medium rare, encrusted bone ribeye dish. Gordon said, “It taste delicious, but it’s overcooked.” The other judges agreed.

Noah’s dessert was a peach melba with rasberry cream dish. Gordon said, “The flavor’s there, but the peaches were too rough.” Joe said he wished he cooked the meat like he cooked the peaches and vice versa.

After all of that, the judges immediately saved: Dorian, Jamie, Micah and Sarah. It was also revealed that Sarah’s dish was the one that got featured on the “Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner” website. She was ecstatic.

That left Noah, Keturah and Wuta as the bottom three. After everything was all said and done, the judges decided to eliminate poor Keturah King. They said her dish was the worst.
