‘America’s Got Talent’ August 6, 2019 Judge Cuts 5 Results Revealed (Recap)

Hey, “America’s Got Talent” fans. Tonight, August 6, 2019, the Judge Cuts number 5 episode did indeed air, and when it was all said and done, we found out who else is moving on to the LIVE shows. This was the final round of Judge cuts.

The judges: Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell were all on hand. Former Tonight Show host and comedian Jay Leno was the guest judge with the Golden Buzzer option.

Tonight’s performances kicked off with Dominguez Poodles. It was a dog act. After the performance, Howie told Dominguez, “I love the chaos, but I’m not sure it’s a step up.” Julianne said, “It was a beautiful hurricane.” Jay said, “It was a lot of fun.” Simon said, “You’re the most fun family. I want a Lion King theme next time.”

DM Nation was up next. They’re a female dance group that previously competed on AGT back in 2015. After their performance, Simon told them, “It was cold. I cannot relate to you as people.” Jay said, “I was totally blown away.” Julianne said, “You stepped up, but the competition is tough.”

Next up was Ben Trigger. He said he’s a classically trained dancer. So, he served up a dance routine for them before stripping off his clothes into a golden outfit. Then he started dancing real crazy to the song “Proud Mary.”

Ben eventually stripped down to pasties. Afterwards, the judges just made a few jokes about his performance. I don’t think they really took him serious.

Jordan Ravi hit the stage next. He’s a singer. He sang a song called, “High Hopes.” Simon liked it saying, “The ladies would love him.”

Benicio Bryant arrived next. He’s a 14 year old singer. He sang an original song called, “Here Goes Nothing.” Afterwards, Jay told Benicio, “You’re an old soul.” Howie said, “You’re worthy of going through, but there’s some tough competition.” Simon said, ” I like you even more this time. Trust yourself.”

Victor Moiseev was up next. He’s a horizontal juggler. They showed a very short clip of him. Julianne told Victor, “You have great creativity.”

Next up was Marina Mazepa. She’s a contortionist. She did a lot of extreme twists during her performance. Afterwards, Jay told Marina, “I know art when I see it.” Julianne said, “You’re original.” Simon said, “You’re terrifying in a brilliant way. I love your unpredictability.”

Charlotte Summers performed next. She’s a 13 year old Spanish singer. She sang, “You Don’t Own Me” by Leslie Gore. Afterwards, Jay said, “I’m blown away.” Simon said, “I appreciate your rawness.”

Callie Day hit the stage next. She’s a gospel singer. She sang, “Up To The Mountain” by Patty Griffin. Afterwards, Julianne told Callie, “You’re captivating, and the song is stunning.” Simon said, “You’re what gospel is all about.”

Zack & Stan performed next. They’re a comic magic act. They only showed a small clip of them. Afterwards, Howie told them, “I will fight for you.”

Magician SOS was up next. They only showed a small clip of him as well and no judge reactions.

Comic actress and comedian “Kara with a K” hit the stage with a disturbingly bad routine. She started taking off pieces of clothing. At one point, she pulled off her hair to display that she’s wearing a bald cap, or maybe she is really bald. I couldn’t tell. Her performance was just really bad though.

Jay told Kara, “Maybe it’s not your style.” Then Kara started talking back to Jay. At one point, she said, “Some people just don’t get it.” Howie said, “That was crazy disappointing.”

After that nightmare of a performance, Emanne Beasha showed up. She’s a 10 year old opera singer. After her performance, Howie said, “I’m impressed. You’re showing the older acts how it’s done.” Simon said,”Your talent is a gift.” Jay said, “You’re extremely special.” Then Jay hit the Golden Buzzer for Emanne! That means she’s going straight through to the LIVE shows!

Eric Chien came on next. He’s a very impressive magician. He did some amazing tricks with quarters and silver dollars. Afterwards, Julianne told Eric, “You make me feel like anything is possible.” Howie said, “You upped your game. I want to fight for you.” Simon said, “I believe in magic!”

Veteran quartet singing group ,Voices of Service, performed next. They sang “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa ft Charlie Puth. Afterwards, Gabrielle told them, “Your voices are inspiring and healing.” Jay said, “You are healers.” Simon said, “We really like you guys.”

Jonathan Burns arrived next. He’s a comedian and contortionist. His performance totally bombed as Howie and Simon buzzed him. Simon said, “It was just awful.” Gabrielle said, “It wasn’t your night.”

Comedian Jackie Fabulous capped off tonight’s performances. After her performance,Jay told Jackie, “I’m is so impressed. You made contact with the jury!” Simon said, “You’re hilarious and naughty.”

After that, the judges deliberated and revealed that: Voices of Service. Magician Eric Chien, Marina Mazepa, Charlotte Summers, Jackie Fabulous and Benicio Bryant made it through to the LIVE shows to join Jay Leno’s Golden Buzzer pick Emanne Beasha.

Next Tuesday night, August 13, 2019, we will see the Quarter Finals 1 episode, starting at 7 pm central standard time on NBC.
