New ‘The Rookie’ Spoilers For Season 2, April 12, 2020 Episode 17 Revealed
Hey, “The Rookie” fans. We hope you guys enjoyed episode 16. Now that it’s officially come and gone, we are back at you with a brand new spoiler session. In this one, we’re going to tell you a few things that will be going down in the next, new episode 17, which is due next Sunday night, April 12, 2020.
We were able to get a few teaser descriptions for episode 17 from ABC’s official episode 17 press release. So, we’re going to run those by you right now.
To start, we’ve got an official title for episode 17. It’s called, “Control.” It sounds like episode 17 will feature some interesting, intense and dramatic scenes as Nolan’s relationship with his first confidential informant is tested. Lucy fears dating, starts threatening friendships and more!
We’ll go ahead and start off this spoiler session with the officer Nolan situation. It turns out that one of Nolan’s first confidential informants will go back to a life of dealing drugs out on the streets. Nolan will find out, which will cause that relationship to surely get tested.
ABC’s official description for this latest officer Nolan storyline reads like this, “Officer Nolan’s relationship with his first confidential informant is tested when he discovers her back on the street dealing drugs.”
How will Nolan handle this situation? Will the informant clean up her act? Those are some big questions for this particular storyline. We’ll have to wait and see what the answers to those questions will be.
It certainly sounds like this storyline will feature some pretty intense and dramatic scenes for you guys to look forward to when next week rolls around.
The second and last teaser description lets us know that Lucy won’t be doing very well in this episode. Lucy will still show a great fear of dating due to her recent abduction trauma. She will also start butting in on Jackson’s relationship. These actions will certainly start to threaten their friendship!
ABC’s description for this Lucy and Jackson friendship debacle reads like this, “Lucy’s fear of dating following her abduction and her intrusion into Jackson’s relationship is beginning to threaten their friendship.”
Will Lucy be able to pull herself together before she totally ruins her friendship with Jackson? That’s a very important question for this particular plotline.
Whatever the case, it sounds like this storyline has plenty of intense drama to unleash on you guys. So, certainly get ready for it to play out next week.
ABC also released a couple of new preview photos for episode 17. Nyla and Nolan are featured in a couple of the photos, and their scenes look pretty intense. At one point, both Nolan and Nyla have to pull out their guns. So, you know that’s some serious stuff.

Episode 17 features a couple of guest stars. They are: Daniel Lissing as character Sterling Freeman, Karen David as character Det. Rita Calderon, Eve Harlow as character Bianca Windle, Devan Chandler Long as character Ripper and Bailey Chase as character D.E.A. Agent Michael Banks.
The season regulars that will be featured in episode 17 are: Nathan Fillion as character John Nolan, Mekia Cox as character Nyla Harper, Alyssa Diaz as character Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as character Sergeant Wade Grey, Titus Makin Jr. as character Jackson West, Melissa O’Neil as character Lucy Chen and Eric Winter as character Tim Bradford.
Episode 17 was written by Alexi Hawley and Robert Bella, and it was directed by Marcus Stokes. ABC’s press release confirmed that episode 17 is indeed scheduled to air next Sunday night,April 12, 2020 at approximately 9 pm central standard time. Episodes can also be viewed the next day on demand and on Hulu.
