The Bachelor February 14, 2022 Eliminated Shanae, Hunter & Marlena (Recap)

Hey,Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, February 14, 2022, another new episode of The Bachelor 2022 edition with headliner Clayton Echard did indeed air, and some more women got sent packing during it.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the ladies talking about the Shanae and Genevieve 2-1 date. They felt bad for Genevieve and hope that she would get the rose.

On the 2 on 1 date, Clayton talked with Genevieve. Genevieve told Clayton, “This week has been tough, difficult, awkward and doesn’t feel right, but I’m really trying. My feelings are growing everyday. I’m sorry if I’ve been distant. I’m not trying to be that way. I’ve been more open and vulnerable than I have been in a really long time.” Clayton said, “That means a lot.”

Shanae and Clayton talked. Shanae said, “It seems like everything’s good, but with Genevieve, I don’t trust her. She was saying, ‘I wanna go home last night.’ She says one thing and does something else.” Clayton said, “You think she’s been acting?” Shanae said, “Yes.” Shanae told the private cams how she was acting to get tears out. Clayton told Shanae, “Well, I do like you, and they kissed.” Shanae told the private cams, “Genevieve, I’m sorry but this is over. Getting this 2 on 1 date rose is going to feel better than sex.”

Clayton told both Genevieve and Shanae, “I did learn a lot. I only have one rose to give.” Then, he asked Genevieve, “Are you an actress, and are you lying to me?” Genevieve said, “Whoa, I was not expecting that. No, I’m not an actress. I’ve been nothing but honest this entire time. Is there any reason why that question was asked because that honestly really shocked me? Clayton said, “I honestly don’t know what to say. I really don’t. I have to step away.”

Shanae and Genevieve argued for a little bit. Then, Clayton came back and told them, “I do appreciate everything. This rose is going to someone who helped me see the truth in all of this. Shanae, I honestly cannot find a reason to give you this rose. Genevieve will you accept this rose? She said, “yes,” and they hugged. Then, they walked off, leaving Shanae just sitting there. It was a joyous moment.

Clayton told Genevieve, “I just wanna thank you for being here,” and they kissed. All the other girls cheered when they saw the crew taking Shanae’s bags away. They even popped open champagne bottles! Shanae told the private cams, “I’m a 100 percent shocked he chose an actress over me. F#%k that guy. I’m pissed and utterly blindsided. It’s sick. It’s disgusting. That’s why I’m single. I never wanna see Clayton again.”

Clayton told the private cams, “Sending Shanae home gave a me a brief sense of relief.” Clayton told the women, “As you all know I sent Shanae home, and I think it will help us all mentally. I think it was a good decision because I heard you all singing on the elevator.” It was quite funny. Everyone laughed at that comment.

Next, Clayton talked 1 on 1 with Sarah at the cocktail party. They had a good conversation and kissed. Clayton talked with Rachael. They also had a good conversation and kissed. Clayton talked with Mara. However, they got interrupted after 3 minutes. Mara got upset about it and cried.

At the rose ceremony, Clayton gave: Sarah, Serene, Susie, Teddi, Eliza and Mara a rose to join Gabby, Rachel and Genevieve who received roses earlier. Unfortunately, that meant poor Hunter and Marelna didn’t get a rose. So, they had to make their exits to join crazy Shanae whose exit was way overdue.

From there, Clayton told the remaining women that they’re going to Hvar, Croatia. Once there, Clayton took Teddi on a 1 on 1 date. They went to get ice cream, and they had a good time.

During the second half of their date, Teddi told Clayton, “I feel like that’s exactly what we needed today.” Clayton said, “Thank you for being patient with me.” At this point, Teddi took a moment to confess to Clayton that she’s a virgin. She said, “My mom got pregnant at an early age. She put a lot of pressure on me to not make that same mistake. I don’t necessarily feel like I need to wait until marriage, but I do want to wait until I fall in love.”

Clayton said, “It’s more about the connection for me. Have you ever been in love?” Teddi said, “No, I haven’t.” She went on to say, “I want to be open even though I might get hurt at the end of this. I do feel really safe with you. I really do see what we could have, and I really want that.” Clayton said, “I appreciate you telling me this. I want you to feel safe. That’s what I strive for. Will you accept this rose?” Teddi said,”yes,” and they kissed.

Clayton told the private cams, “Teddi is very special.” Teddi told the private cams, “I could see myself falling in love with Clayton.”

Next, Clayton took: Mara, Serene, Rachel, Susie, Gabby, Eliza and Genevieve out on a group date. During the date, they went to compete in some Knight battles. The battle featured them trying to push each other out of a circle. After that, they had to eat pig’s brain and fish eyeballs. Then, they had to tell Clayton what this journey means to them and what they’re fighting for. In the end, it was Serene who won the comp. So, she got a little extra time with Clayton.

During the afterparty, Clayton talked with Rachel. Rachel said, “I’m falling for you so hard, and I’m terrified. I truly want you to know I would love to bring you home to my family.” Clayton said, “Thank you,” and they kissed. Clayton was seen talking 1 on 1 with Gabby, Serene, Genevieve and Eliza. The footage was brief, but it appeared to go well for them from what I could tell.

Clayton talked with Mara, and she ended up telling him, straight up that she’s discouraged of her progress so far. She told him, “Some of the younger women you’ve taken an interest in have said they couldn’t picture being engaged.” Clayton told Mara, “I will pay more attention moving forward. I appreciate your honesty.” At the end, Clayton gave Rachel the group date rose.

Next, Clayton got a note slipped under his door, telling him, “Meet me at the clock tower.” When he got there, Susie was there. She told him, “I wanted to bring you here to share with you where I’m at. I’m happy for you any everyone, but it’s made me put up walls. So, I’ve promised myself to be more vulnerable with you. I do feel like I’m falling in love with you.” Clayton said, “That’s phenomenal,” and they kissed.

At one point, Clayton had a talk with host Jesse Palmer about what Mara told him in regards to the women he’s falling for aren’t ready for marriage, and he thinks it’s Sarah. Jesse just gave him some advice on how to deal with the situation.

Next, we saw Clayton’s 1 on 1 date with Sarah. It appears that we just got the second half of it though because they were already at the night time dinner. During this moment, Clayton straight up asked Sarah if she’s really ready for marriage because he was told by someone that she’s not ready.

Sarah said, “That’s the complete opposite of what I feel. I absolutely see myself being engaged at the end off this, and I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t see myself being with you.” Then, she teared up. Sarah told the private cams she was pissed at whoever told Clayton she wasn’t ready. She said, “That was a b#%tch #ss move. Whatever they said is complete bullsh#%t. I’m upset because this has interrupted my date.”

Sarah told Clayton, “I’m so angry because we’ve come so far, and I don’t want to lose that. That’s why I’m so upset.” Clayton said, “I just have to be careful navigating through all of this. We established trust early. I had fears that giving you the second 1 on 1 date would put a target on your back, and I think that’s what happened. Will you accept this rose?” Sarah said, “yes,” and they hugged and kissed. Clayton told the private cams, “I do believe Sarah is sincere.” And that was it, guys. That was tonight’s episode.

The next, new episode of The Bachelor 2022 edition with headliner Clayton Echard is scheduled to air next Monday night, February 21, 2022 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on ABC.
