Magnum PI Season 4, May 6, 2022 Episode 20 Is The Finale. Season 5 Not Yet Confirmed
Hey, “Magnum P.I.” fans. We totally hope you guys enjoyed the absolute heck out of episode 20 tonight, especially since it was the very last one for this current season 4. Yep, that’s right, guys. Tonight’s episode 20 was indeed the season 4 finale episode. We hope you guys savored every minute of it because it could very well be the last one for the series.
We’re still currently waiting on an official decision from CBS to see if they’re going to renew Magnum PI for a brand new season 5. In the past, they have usually given it an early renewal by this time, but that hasn’t happened this year.
Since we don’t yet have an official, renewal confirmation from CBS, we’re going to do the next best thing and give you a very educated guess. We’re going to do that by taking a look at the ratings and viewership numbers that Magnum PI’s current season 4 was able to deliver.
Magnum PI season 4 averaged 5.251 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.42 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 19, which aired last Friday night, April 29, 2022, drew in 4.808 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.31 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 11 with 5.766 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 19 with the 4.808 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was episode 11 with a 0.50 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 19 with a 0.31 ratings score.
Overall, season 4 brought in slightly lower viewers and ratings than episode 3, which averaged 5.593 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.52 ratings score.
Based on all that information, we wouldn’t be surprised if CBS renewed Magnum PI for a new season 5. Its numbers weren’t too much different from the season 3 numbers. Again, we’ll have to wait and see what CBS has to officially say about it, but the numbers do look pretty solid to us. Cross your fingers.
