New 60 Minutes April 16, 2023 Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. We are back in your faces ,today, with some excellent news. The CBS people are ready and set to serve up a new episode of your favorite news show 60 Minutes tonight, April 16, 2023. That’s right,guys. It’s going down tonight. Tonight’s new episode will be the 30th one for 60 Minutes’ current season 55, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
The CBS people delivered a press release for tonight’s new, April 16, 2023 installment. So, we’re definitely going to dip into it to deliver this preview session. Let’s get to it.
First off, there’s an official title for tonight’s new episode. It’s called, “Revolution; The Unlikely Adventures of David Grann.”
In tonight’s new episode, American journalist Scott Pelley is going to talk with the CEO of mega search engine Google Sundar Pichai. During their discussion, they’re going to talk about the risks of artificial intelligence spreading the wrong information and some safety filters that Google has implemented with their new chatbot named Bard. This interview will be part of a two-part report.
CBS’ official description for tonight’s new, April 16, 2023 episode 30 of 60 Minutes season 55 reads like this, “60 MINUTES correspondent Scott Pelley spoke with Google CEO Sundar Pichai about the risks of artificial intelligence spreading disinformation and the safety filters in place with Google’s new chatbot, Bard. The interview airs as part of a two-part report that will be broadcast on 60 MINUTES.”
An alternate description tells us, “Pelley is given access to Google’s campus in Mountain View, Calif., and their AI lab in London to examine their new slate of technologies as civilization moves closer to embracing the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence.”
CBS also included a couple of excerpts from the interview in the press release. One of them reveals that Sundar told Scott, “There are deeper risks people worry about – you know, which is, at some point does humanity lose control of the technology it’s developing? So those are some of the far out use cases which we need to think about as early as possible and get it right.”
Sundar answered a question about the false information risk of ai saying,”AI will challenge that in a deeper way. The scale of this problem is going to be much bigger. It will be possible with AI to create–you know, a video easily. Where it could be Scott saying something, or me saying something, and we never said that. And it could look accurate. But you know, on a societal scale, you know, it can cause a lot of harm.”
CBS’ press release confirmed that 60 Minutes is brand new again tonight, April 16, 2023, and it’s scheduled to hit the air at approximately 6 pm central standard time.
