New American Idol May 21, 2023 Finale Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “American Idol” fans. We are back at you, today, with some very exciting news because we’re going to finally find out who the winner of this current season 21 of American Idol is tonight, May 21, 2023. That’s right, guys. ABC is serving up the season finale episode 20 of American Idol’s current season 21 tonight. It’s going to be a whopping 3 hours long, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
ABC dished up an official press release for tonight’s new, finale episode. So, we’re going to certainly take a look at it for this preview session. Let’s get into it.
In tonight’s new, final episode of American Idol season 21, you guys are going to see musical legends and some of today’s top artists show up to deliver some special performances. And of course, the final, top 3 contestants: Colin Stough, Iam Tongi and Megan Danielle will hit the stage to deliver their final performances. Then, at the very end, we will find out who America voted to be the winner of this 21st season!
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, May 21, 2023, finale episode 20 of American Idol season 21 reads like this, “The live coast-to-coast, three-hour season finale features special performances from music legends and today’s top artists, with the Top 3 contestants taking the stage for the final time as America decides who will become the next American Idol.”
We also got some additional information for tonight’s finale episode from the folks over at MJSbigblog.com. They’re telling us that we will see footage of the finalists: Colin Stough, Iam Tongi and Megan Danielle going to their hometowns. They will also do a special performance in their hometowns.
Colin Stough visited his hometown Amory Mississippi. While there, he visited Hatley High School. There was a parade over on main street, and a free concert took place at the Hatley football stadium.
Iam Tongi visited his hometown Oahu Hawaii. There was a parade that featured a convoy of trolleys that departed the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie. There was a concert given at the Turtle Bay Resort. Jack Johnson, Common Kings, Kawika Kahiapo, John Cruz, Paula Fuga, and other special guests joined Iam on stage. Iam visited his former high school and received an honorary diploma.
Megan Danielle visited her hometown Douglasville, Georgia. There was a parade on Church Street beginning at Club Drive in Douglasville. A pep rally and city/county proclamation took place at the O’Neal Plaza. A concert took place at Megan’s alma mater Douglas County High School.
They’re also telling us that the finalists will perform a new, original song during tonight’s final episode. Colin’s original song is titled “Still Talk to Jesus.” Iam’s original song is titled “I’ll Be Seeing You” and is dedicated to his late father. Megan’s original song is titled “Dream Girl.”
ABC’s press released confirmed that American Idol will be brand new again tonight, May 21, 2023, and it’s scheduled to hit your TV screens at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
