Survivor November 29, 2023 Voted Off Bruce Perreault (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, November 29, 2023, another new episode of Survivor’s current season 45 did indeed hit the air, and we saw another blindside vote send somebody packing and off to the jury at the end. Tonight’s new episode kicked off with conversation footage about the last tribal council meeting, which sent Kendra to the jury.
Jake told the private cams, “I’m still alive. I think I’m back in this game as a player, not as a pawn.” Drew told the private cams, “Bruce’s immunity run has to come to a swift end asap.” Emily told the private cams that Drew, Austin and Dee’s closeness scares her, and she might have to forge new relationships. However, Emily didn’t feel she could trust Bruce, Katura and Julie.
Bruce told Katura about his plan to lie about his idol by saying he gave it to Kellie to hold onto just before she got voted off and took it with her. Katura told the private cams, “It’s a stupid plan.”
Bruce told his Kellie lie to Jake, and he told the private cams that his plan was for Jake to spread it around to everyone else to take the target off flushing it out.
After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with a new reward challenge. During it, the contestants had to make it through some obstacle courses. Then, maneuver a ball through a maze for the win. Emily won it to claim her first competition win of this season. She was very emotional about it too.
Emily’s prize for this reward challenge was a trip to the sanctuary for a dinner that featured turkey, mash potatoes, gravy, apple pie, beer, soda and juice. She also got to spend the night there in bed and blankets. Emily got to choose three other people to enjoy her reward with her. She said,”Let’s make it a ladies night” and chose: Julie, Katura and Dee.
During Emily, Katura, Julie and Dee’s sanctuary session, Emily said Bruce and his idol need to go. Katura told them Bruce is peddling a lie that Kellie took his idol with her when she left. Katura told the private cams, “I told the girls about Bruce’s idol lie because I have no loyalty to Bruce. I can’t wait to get Bruce out.”
Bruce told Jake that Dee needs to go. Jake told the private cams, “That’s not happening. I need to detach from Bruce.” Jake not knowing it was a lie, he told Drew that Bruce doesn’t have an idol because he gave it to Kellie before she left. Drew told Austin, and they had a good chuckle about it.
Emily told Jake he might be the back-up target again. Jake got upset about that. So, he tried to pitch Drew as a target to Julie, and she told Drew. So, Drew told the private cams, “That’s a slap in the face after I campaigned for Jake to stay during Kellie and Kendra’s elimination.
Drew confronted Jake about it, and they had an argument. Jake told Drew, “You can’t help me. Our talk is over.” Drew told the private cams, “Jake is a goon. His game is done.”
After all of that, host Jeff Probst arrived again with a new immunity challenge. During it, they had to lie on a steep ramp that was suspended over water. It was an endurance comp, and the last person to drop, won. The challenge got harder every five minutes because they had to move to a smaller hand grip. It came down to Bruce and Austin in the end, and Austin won it.
Bruce told the private cams, “I gotta play my idol.” Katura and Julie said they’re targeting Jake. Dee said we’re going to split votes between Jake and Bruce. However, Katura said, “It would be a waste to get Jake out. I want Julie out instead. She’s very strategic. Everybody loves her. She’s super dangerous.”
Bruce told Emily he wants to target Julie. She seemed to agree, but she told the private cams that she’s lying to his face so he doesn’t use his idol, allowing her to get him out.
Bruce told Jake he’s voting out Julie. Jake liked that idea, but he told the private cams, “I don’t know who to trust.” Emily again told the private cams, “If Bruce doesn’t play his idol, he’s going home.”
At the tribal council meeting, they just did some general game talk before casting their votes. Bruce did not play his immunity idol, and Jeff revealed that Julie got 1 vote. Jake got 3 votes, and Bruce received 4 votes. So, with the 4 votes, Bruce was indeed sent packing just like Emily predicted. Bruce was a very good sport about it. He told everyone, “Playing this game with you guys, it has been an honor for my second time back.”
Bruce told the private cams, “I didn’t play my idol today because I was convinced otherwise. Kudos to them. I love this game. I truly love this game.” How do you guys feel about Bruce Perreault getting voted off Survivor season 45 in tonight’s episode? Let us know in the comments section.
