Survivor September 29, 2021 Voted Off David Voce (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, September 29, 2021, another new episode of Survivor season 41 did indeed air, and another unlucky contestant did get sent packing at the end.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with Brady telling the private cams, “I’m awfully nervous about JD right now” after the last tribal council. Next, Brady rushed to spy on JD and Ricard. Brady told the private cams, “JD seems so calm and relaxed now. I think he has an immunity idol.”
Brad told Shantel how he feels about JD right now. Shantel saw Brad spying on JD, and she expressed to the private cams that she’s a little worried about it. So, she went and told Ricard about Brad’s spying activities. Ricard told the private cams of Brad’s recent behavior, “That’s annoying. I think Brad needs to go.”
Naseer got props for being able to start a fire for his Luvu tribe, and they started saying they need to keep him around.
Xander went looking for an advantage at one point, and he ended up finding one. However, it had a twist attached to it. It was a 3-way share immunity advantage. The other two idols had to be found for it to work. On top of Xander having a powerless idol, he also lost his tribal council vote until the other two idols are found.
Xander told David and Evvie about his powerless idol. Evvie worried that Xander is playing too hard by finding the idol and getting the extra vote in the last episode. So, she told Tiffany and Liana about it. From there, they all agreed that they should gang up and get Xander out.
Next up, was the immunity challenge. During it, a member from each tribe had to dive in water and swim to retrieve a key. Next, the rest of the tribemembers had to make it across a water obstacle course. Then, they had to put together another puzzle for the win.
Tiffany from the Yase tribe really struggled to get across one of the obstacles, and it held her tribe back from getting to the puzzle. She wasted about 2 or 3 minutes of their time. The other tribes were already half way through their puzzle before the Yase tribe could even get started!
The Luvu tribe finished first. The Ua tribe finished second to claim immunity. The Yase tribe, of course, were the losing tribe. So, they had to figure out who to vote off next.
The winning tribes also won a reward, which was some fishing gear. The first place winner got more of it. The losing Yase tribe had to give up their flint.
Then, host Jeff Probst revealed that two more people were taking a special boat ride again. The winning Luvu tribe chose Evvie to go. Then, DeShawn volunteered to go.
Tiffany told the private cams, “I still think I’m in a good position even though I performed badly during the competition.” David Voce told the private cams, “Tiffany needs to go. So, he campaigned to Liana to get out Tiffany. Then, Liana ran and told Tiffany that David was campaigning for her to go since she, Tiffany and Evvie are in an alliance and are trying to blindside Xander.
After Evvie and Deshawn’s boat ride, they walked up a mountain. Evvie told Deshawn about Xander’s powerless idol situation to build trust with him. She also told Deshawn she’s going to protect her vote so he can go ahead and risk his vote to get the extra vote.
When Evvie got back from the boat trip, she told her Yase tribe what happened during it. Evvie, Tiffany and Liana reconfirmed that they plan to blindside Xander. Meanwhile, Evvie pretended to be working with Xander and David.
Later, Tiffany started to express doubts to Evvie that Xander’s idol doesn’t have power yet. Evvie kept trying to reassure Tiffany that it doesn’t work yet. Tiffany refused to believe Evvie. So, Tiffany kept suggesting that they vote out David instead just in case Xander is able to use his idol. A frustrated Evvie told the private cams, “Tiffany’s behavior is starting to make me doubt if I can keep working with her.”
Next, we saw the Yase tribal council footage. During it, the Yase tribe talked game for a bit, but nothing special really stood out. During the voting, Xander got a note saying, he couldn’t vote until all 3 idols are found.
After that, Jeff revealed that Tiffany got 1 vote, and David got 3 votes. So, with 3 votes, David Voce was voted off the island in this episode. Apparently, Evvie and Liana gave in to Tiffany’s pleas to vote out David over Xander.
