Survivor November 17, 2021 Voted Off Naseer Muttalif & Evvie Jagoda (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, November 17, 2021, another new episode of Survivor season 41 did air, and not 1, but 2 unlucky contestants got sent packing at the end.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with Deshawn talking about Shantel to the private cams after the last tribal council. He was not happy. He said Shantel is starting to tick him off a lot. Meanwhile, Shantel said, “Why am I bending over backwards for Deshawn. He’s immature. I’m done with Deshawn.” Deshawn told Evvie of Shantel, “None of her moves make any sense. I’m done.”
Evvie loved that everyone was fighting with each other and told the private cams, “This cast is amazing for me.” Later, Deshawn eventually apologized to Shantel. Shantel told Deshawn, “I need to work on listening to you more.” From there, they started talking game. Shantel told Deshawn, “I don’t trust Erika.”
At one point, Deshawn and Evvie seem to be vibing. Deshawn told Evvie, “I feel like we could do some damage together.” Elsewhere, Naseer confronted Heather because he thought she voted for him at the last tribal council. Xander revealed to the private cams, “Heather didn’t vote out Naseer because I was the one that voted for Naseer to go, but I love to see them fighting.” Naseer told Heather, “I don’t believe anything you’re telling me.”
There was a segment where Ricard revealed to the private cams that he’s def in his right ear and can read lips. He said it was an advantage for him. Shantel kept campaigning to get rid of Erika. She said, “I don’t trust Erika. Not even a little bit.”
Next, host Jeff Probst arrived with the immunity challenge. Jeff explained that there was a new twist in play. They were getting divided into two groups for this challenge, and that there will be an immunity winner for each group.
However, that also meant that there will be someone going home from each group. This challenge also had a reward attached to it for the overall winner, which was chicken and beef stew for that person and their group. Basically, it was like they were separated into tribes again for this challenge.
During the immunity challenge, they had to balance themselves on a very narrow purge and hold on to handles with their hands. The last person standing from each group, won immunity. The last person standing overall, won both immunity and the reward.
Erika won for her group to claim immunity. Xander won for his group and was the overall winner for both the beef stew reward and immunity.
The group featuring Evvie, Deshawn, Xander, Liana and Danny enjoyed the beef stew reward that Xander won. Evvie and Xander talked about voting out Liana because she’s with Shantel. Deshawn and Danny talked about voting off Evvie. Liana told the private cams she’s voting off Evvie.
Deshawn told Xander, “I don’t want to work Shantel’s plan. I want to do my own plan.” Xander told Deshawn he’s voting off Liana. Deshawn appeared to agree to vote off Liana. Danny tried to convince Xander that getting rid of Evvie is the right move, but he’ll do whatever Xander wants. That made Xander think he should maybe play his idol for Evvie.
The group featuring Shantel, Heather, Naseer, Ricard and Erika had their conversations. Heather’s name came up as a target right away. Then, Naseer went and told Heather to her face that she’s going home. Heather and Erika talked about voting off Naseer or Shantel.
Ricard suggested to Erika and Heather that they should try to target Naseer by making him feel so safe that he doesn’t play his idol. Ricard campaigned to Shantel to get rid of Naseer. However, Shantel wanted to vote out Heather because Naseer is a number for her.
During the Shantel, Heather, Naseer, Ricard and Erika tribal council meeting, they talked game and about Heather possibly going home and so on and so forth. After the votes were tallied, Heather got 3 votes ,and Naseer got 3 votes. Since it was a tie, they revoted for either Heather or Naseer.
Heather and Naseer couldn’t vote during the revote. The revote gave Naseer 3 votes and Heather 0 votes. So, Naseer got voted off with a heavy blindside from that group. He took it well and told everyone, “Good job, guys.”
During Evvie, Deshawn, Xander, Liana and Danny’s tribal council meeting, they talked game. Everyone said they were pretty sure what was going to happen, making them realize someone had been lied to.
After the votes were counted, Evvie ended up with 3 votes, and Liana got 2 votes. So, with the 3 votes, Evvie got the shaft from that group. She was blindsided saying, “D#%mn! Alright, good game, guys. Well played, guys.”
