Survivor April 24, 2024 Voted Off Hunter McKnight In Another Blindside (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, April 24, 2024, another new episode of Survivor’s current season 46 did hit the air, and we saw another wild blindside send an unlucky contestant to the jury at the end of it.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with more talk about the last tribal council meeting where Q asked everyone to vote him off, but they voted off Tevin instead. Everyone was wondering why Q asked everyone to vote him off. Q told the private cams, “I felt guilty for screwing up everyone’s game by trying to flip the vote at the last minute.”
Tiffany told the private cams, “I’m pissed that Q told everyone I have an immunity idol. It’s so annoying because I might have to play my immunity idol tonight. It’s going to make me such a big target.” Kenzie told the private cams, “Q should’ve just walked out of the game if he wanted to leave. Don’t make us do it for you.”
Liz told the private cams, “I’m mad that my move to get Tevin out was so overshadowed by Q’s shocking announcement. I’m gunning for Q whenever I get the chance.” Ben told the private cams, “Q’s move was just a way for him to not take responsibility for his actions. I have no respect for it.”
A couple of people, including Tiffany said, “I would never vote for Q if he makes it to the end.”
Venus told the private cams, “I want to vote to get Hunter out since he voted for me to go at the last tribal council meeting.” Hunter told the private cams, “I don’t want to work with Q or Liz now. Q’s move totally screwed up my game.”
After all of that, everyone got a note that informed them they will be split up into 3 teams of 3 for the next immunity challenge. Q told the private cams, “They made a mistake by not getting me out when I offered. It was a mistake for me to do that. I have new life in this game now. I’m gonna give them hell.”
Q campaigned to Charlie that Hunter needs to go. He also asked Charlie to throw the immunity challenge. Charlie told the private cams, “I’m not down with throwing the immunity challenge, and I don’t really trust Q after what he pulled at the last tribal council meeting. It left a bad taste in my mouth.” Maria told the private cams, “Tiffany is the biggest threat. She has an idol. She’s gotta go.”
Next, host Jeff Probst showed up with the new immunity challenge. The three teams of three were: Q, Venus and Liz for team 1. Charlie, Maria and Hunter for team 2. Tiffany, Kenzie and Ben for team 3. This challenge was played in stages. During the first stage, the teams had to make it through a series of obstacles. The first two teams to complete them advanced to the second stage.
During the second stage, they had to make it through more obstacles. The first team to complete the second stage made it through to the final stage. During the final stage, they were no longer a team. The final 3 were split up to play individually. The first person to complete the final stage, won.
The final stage was actually an endurance challenge. They simply had to hold onto a very thin pole for dear life. The last person holding on, won. The team of Hunter, Charlie and Marie made it to the last stage. It came down to Charlie and Hunter, and Charlie just edged out Hunter for the victory. So, Charlie was safe at the next tribal council meeting.
Tiff told Liz, “I want Q out. Q tried to campaign to Kenzie, and she told him, “I’m not working with you. I don’t respect what you did at the last tribal council meeting.” Kenzie pitched to Hunter, Maria and Charlie that they try to blindside Tiffany to get her and her idol out of this game. They all seemed to agree with it in that moment.
However, later on, Tiffany told Charlie that she wants to play her idol because she doesn’t want it anymore. She told the private cams, “I don’t trust these people. I think they’re gonna try to blindside me.” Charlie realized the plan to get Tiffany out would have to change.
Ben, Maria and Charlie mentioned that Hunter is the new target ,and they told Kenzie about it. So, she decided to go along with it since that’s what the gruop wanted. She, however, said she’d rather go after Q.
Hunter told the private cams that he’s playing his idol because he’s still worried that people are lying to him about still going after Tiffany. Hunter told Venus and Liz that he’s playing his idol, and he asked them to vote off Ben, but they still wanted to get out Q. Liz said she’s sticking with voting off Q. Hunter also told Kenzie he’s playing his idol. So, Kenzie told the private cams, “This is messy. We don’t have a plan going into tribal council. It’s going to be wild.”
At the tribal council meeting, Q and Tiffany got into an big argument, and she ratted him out by saying he’s been pushing to get Venus out. Some more whispering took place. Kenzie said she’s voting Q out at one point. More people whispered that they were voting off Q, and they were telling Hunter that Q is the target.
All that whispering to vote off Q apparently made Hunter feel comfortable enough not to play his immunity idol, and that was a big mistake for him because not everyone voted for Q. The first round of votes went like this. Q got 4 votes. Ben got 1 vote, and Hunter got 4 votes. That caused a tie. So, they had to do a revote, and they could only vote for Hunter or Q.
Then, Q got 1 vote, and Hunter got 4 votes. So, with the 4 votes during the revote, Hunter was voted off in tonight’s episode. He told the private cams, “I had convinced myself I was playing my idol, but I got lulled into my own doom. That is not how I wanted it to end.”
