Fox Searchlight’s new action, comedy, drama, “Whip It,” hit theaters this weekend. It featured Drew Barrymore’s first work as a director, which she also acted in. It stars : Ellen Page, Marcia Gay Harden, Kristen Wiig, Julieete Lewis, Eve, Jimmy Fallon, Daniel Stern, and Drew Barrymore.

I would say,not a bad job for Drew Barrymore. I liked the film. It had inspiration, action, drama, and at the end,it just kinda made you feel good.

The Movie focused on a girl named Bliss Cavendar (Ellen Page) who has spent her life sort of just doing what her mom tells her to do. Her life is pretty dull. She works at a small restaurant and enters pageant shows because of her mom.

However, one night she’s exposed to the exciting world of roller-derby skating, and she falls in love with it. She eventually decides to try out for the team after one of the skaters that she’s a fan of,convinces her to try out.

Bliss has kind of a rough time at first, but then discovers that she has more speed around the track, than the other girls, and makes the team. Her addition along with some good coaching eventually help turn the losing team she’s on, into a winning team.

The movie also deals with romance that Bliss encounters, along with friendship and parent drama,as she has to deal with her mom not approving of what she’s doing.

Overall, it was much better than I expected, and it had a lot of stars in it,which included : rapper Eve,Drew Barrymore,Kristen Wiig,Jimmy Fallon, and Juliette Lewis. It had a good mixture of comedy, action, and drama.

I was totally interested in the film, the whole time. I never got bored. I liked how the storyline went. and the movie just really kinda made you feel good in the end, when her parents finally accepted what she wanted to do.
