Overture Films’ new psychological, thriller, movie “Law Abiding Citizen” brought a lot of mystery and suspense,as it debuted nationwide, this weekend. It starred : Jamie Foxx, Gerard Butler, Bruce McGill, Colm Meaney, Leslie Bibb, Michael Irby, Regina Hall, and Viola Davis. I thought the movie was excellent, and that Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, both did an excellent job in this movie.

“Law Abiding Citizen” focused around the two main characters, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) and Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler). Clyde’s family gets slaughtered by a guy named Clarence Darby and his accomplice. Clarence strikes a deal to walk free,by ratting out his accomplice.

Then the movie fast forwards ten years into the future. Clyde gruesomely takes out Clarence, and gets thrown in prison for it,but then something mysterious happens. Clyde is able to somehow commit more murders without leaving his prison cell,or so it would seem.

He eventually kills numerous people who were involved in his wife and kid’s murder case, leaving Nick to guess and wonder how to keep up with Clyde’s Vendetta. With the help of some inside information on where Clyde spent his money in the past ten years, Nick was finally able to figure out how Clyde was able to pull off his seemingly impossible feats, and stop him for good.

Overall, I thought the movie was very entertaining, interesting, and created an air of mystery. I never got bored for one minute, watching this film. Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler played their roles great. I liked how Foxx’s character was relentless on finding out how Gerard’s character was pulling everything off. I definitely recommend seeing this movie.
