The ‘Lightning Thief’ Movie Delivered A Ton Of Action & Special Effects
The ‘Lightning Thief’ movie delivered a ton of action & special effects. 20th Century Fox’s new action/supernatural movie, “Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief,” hit theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I must say that it delivered more action than I thought it would. It also wasn’t to shabby on the special effects. The theater was really packed. It stars: Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Sean Bean, Pierce Brosnan, Steve Coogan, Rosario Dawson, Catherine Keener, Kevin McKidd, Joe Pantoliano, Uma Thurman,and Ray Winstone.
“Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief” movie revolved around Percy Jackson (Logan Hermen) who lives a pretty ordinary life,and thinks he’s a loser with dyslexia because of his unknown god-like abilities. Meanwhile, gods, Zues and Poseidon (Percy Jackson’s father) start arguing because Zeus thinks Percy has stolen his lightning bolt,and gives him 14 days to return it,or a war will start. This is when things liven up for Percy as all kinds of creatures from mythology start coming after him for the lightning bolt.
He eventually finds out that he’s actually a demi-god,which is half god/half human. His mother eventually gets sent to the underworld by the god, Hades. From there, Percy’s mission is to get his mother out of the underworld. He goes on an adventure with his other female demi-god friend and his half goat protector. They go on a wild adventure which includes: fighting three headed dragons,Madusa,Hades,magical trance flowers,and more in an effort to save his mother. In the process, they also find the mysterious lightning bolt planted by the most unlikely person.
Overall,I thought the movie was action-packed and very entertaining. Some of the scenes had me on the edge of my seat,wondering what would happen next.
