WB Confirms New ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ Movie Reboot Minus Joss
WB confirms new ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ movie reboot minus Joss. According to about.com, Warner Bros. Pictures has recently confirmed that they are indeed making a new “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” movie reboot. However, they are not bringing the original writer for the show Joss Whedon on board.
Instead, they have decided to hire an actress named Whit Anderson to write the script. It’s surprising because her resume doesn’t include much acting or writing experience. But,apparently, she wrote something that really impressed Warner Bros and the producers.
Now, they are pushing to get the new movie out for into theaters as early as late 2011. However, it’s more likely that it will hit theaters sometime in 2012. The speculation of the reboot came out last year, and was reported that neither Joss or the TV show actors would be involved in the project.
I wonder who they’ll get to replace Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy. I thought she was the greatest. It should be interesting. Whit Anderson is apparently a big fan of the show, and always watched it growing up. Follow us on Facebook for more movie news, trailers, and more by Clicking Here.
