‘Unknown’ Movie Delivered Great Drama & Twists With Liam Neeson
‘Unknown’ movie delivered great drama & twists with Liam Neeson. Warner Bros. Pictures released their new drama/thriller flick titled, “Unknown” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was really, really good. It delivered some great twists, intense drama, and action. The movie stars: Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, January Jones, Aidan Quinn, Bruno Ganz, and Frank Langella.
“Unknown” movie revolved around character Dr. Martin Harris (Liam Neeson) who gets into a car accident after arriving in Berlin, while separated from his supposed wife. Four days later,he wakes up in a hospital, and immediately hops out of bed to go search for his wife Elizabeth Harris (January Jones). However, when he finds her, she acts as if she doesn’t recognize him and another man has taken his place or identity.
Martin swears he’s the real Martin, and that Elizabeth is his wife, but no one believes him. He eventually searches for answers from the female taxi driver Gina (Diane Kruger) who saved his life. However, she’s afraid and doesn’t want to get involved. Later on,Martin gets attacked in a hospital and sees his attacker kill his nurse. From there, Martin knew there was truly more to this that he needed to find out.
His search led him to character Ernst Jürgen (Bruno Ganz) who was an expert at finding people. Ernst convinced Martin to do whatever it took to get the taxi driver Gina to help him because she was there at the beginning of everything.
Once Martin got Gina to help him,the action really picked up,and eventually led to a big twist that revealed Martin may not be who he thinks he is,but also sets him on a path to a new life that was neither his true old one or his current one. It turns out that Martin was actually involved in much more dangerous activities that his bump on the head caused him to forget about.
He ends up teaming with Gina to deliver some great actions scenes that included car chases, hand to hand combat, huge bomb explosions, running people over with a car,and more. It really delivered a great and entertaining conclusion. I totally enjoyed the movie, and thought Liam did a great job as usual. I also liked Diane Kruger’s performance as the kick-butt taxi driver chick. I gave the movie an A grade. “Unknown” movie is in theaters now. Unknown is not a great movie…the twists were lame, the double head injury ooh i got my memory back was lame too. I am big Liam Neeson fan too but the acting wasn’t his best and neither were some of his counterparts. Some lines of dialogue grated and the showing everything was bad directing choice. ie the scissor scene..we could see they were gone…you didn’t need to show us again!!! It was okay for an action film but for drama and storyline it wasnt that great…I critiqued it on my film page and gave it a 2 out of 5…..sorry.
