‘I Am Number Four’ movie delivered great action,special effects & more. DreamWorks Pictures released their new action/sci-fi flick “I Am Number Four” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and let me tell you, this was one of the most awesome movies I’ve seen in a long time. It delivered a ton of action,special effects,and drama. It literally left me wanting more,and from the looks of it,this could be a continuing franchise. The movie stars: Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Kevin Durand, and Callan McAuliffe.
‘I Am Number Four” revolved around character John (Alex Pettyfer) who’s a teen from a another planet that escaped,along with his protector Henri (Timothy Olyphant). There are others like him on Earth,but unfortunately, they’re getting slaughtered by evil warriors from his planet. Each one of John’s kind are tagged with a number. John is, of course, number four,and the evil ones are killing his kind off in chronological order. Everytime one got killed, John’s leg would light up, and leave a scar for that victim.
The last victim was number three,so he new he was next,and so did Henri. To avoid this terrible fate,they hit the road again and put on another identification disguise to shield him from the evil aliens. Unfortunately,they are hot on his trail now since his number is the next in line. Meanwhile in John’s latest town in Ohio, he forms really strong bonds with a few people,especially with a girl named Sarah (Glee’s Dianna Agron).
When it’s time for him to leave Ohio, he doesn’t want to and refuses to go when Henri tries to force him. Shortly after that, the real troubles arose,and we got to see just how powerful John truly is. He started developing his powers in the new town,and by the time this flick came to an end,he was kicking some major ass,along with a new girl who arrived on the scene to rescue him at one point,claiming she was number six (actress Teresa Palmer).
After she arrived,it really got interesting because the movie showed number six disappearing and reappearing,slicing up bad guys left and right,John joining in on the action by slicing people up with his power,a huge monster protector dog battling another giant monster,and more in an effort to save Earth from getting taken over by these villains.
Finally, when all the fantastic dust settled, I was completely blown away and screaming,sequel! They definitely did leave it open for a sequel,and also gave hints as to what might come in a future movie if it were to happen.
Again, I thought the movie was radically entertaining. Alex Pettyfer did a great job as the intense young alien,new guy. Glee’s Dianna Agron was really,really cute. Can I just say, Thank you! This is the first positive review I’ve been able to find, and it makes me glad that I’m not the only one who enjoyed this film and wants a sequel.
