New ‘Dream House’ Movie Delivered Very Interesting Thrills,Drama & Twists
New ‘Dream House’ movie delivered very interesting thrills, drama & twists. Universal Pictures released their new drama/thriller flick “Dream House” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, I thought it was pretty entertaining. It got off to a bit of a slow start, but it was necessary for the buildup and plot. The movie stars: Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Marton Csokas, Elias Koteas, and Jane Alexander.
In the flick, character Will Atenton/Peter Ward (Daniel Craig) and his family appear to be living a happy life in a nice little house in the woods, but as well all know, things aren’t always as they appear, especially in this movie.
As the movie progresses, Will starts witnessing strange events with the neighbors and other kids in the neighborhood, which lead to him finding out that a family was killed in the house that he lived in. However, he still can’t understand why people keep looking at him funny, and why the police won’t help him out when someone starts creeping around his house.
Eventually, things get to be so bad that things had to come to a head, and Will learns that the murders had something to do with him and he couldn’t remember it. After that,he becomes aware that he’s mental,so to speak. He starts to realize that the wife and kids he sees living with him are all in his head,so he tries to figure out why he’s seeing them.
This leads to a huge, drama-filled conclusion where he gets help from the attractive neighbor Anne Patterson (Naomi Watts)who knew him before the murders went down. It turns out that Anne was part of a crazy twist that put both their lives in danger, and the outcome ends fiery.
I thought the movie was well put together, and built up quite nicely. It was a little slow at first, but it had to be. Even though it started a little slow at first,I became very intrigued with the plot after about the first 30 minutes when I realized this movie was about to go in a weird, new direction.
Mr. James Bond actor Daniel Craig did a good job playing the confused, passionate man who was looking intensely for answers. The supporting castmembers were very good as well. The drama and action really picked up a little past the first halfway point of the film, and really exploded towards the end. The plot was great, and sort of had a “Sixth Sense” feel about it. I gave the movie a good A grade. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
