NCIS Mark Harmon Reported To Have Less Scenes In Season 15, New Details

According to a new report from the folks over at mobipicker.com, Mark Harmon (above) who plays character Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in CBS’ hit action/drama series “NCIS” might be seeing less screentime in this new, 15th season!

They have sources telling them that he currently has declining health in his older age. He’s currently 66 years old. For this reason, he may not be involved in much of the action scenes that will be taking place.

They also stated that Harmon has gone as far as to tell his wife that the current season 15 could very well be his last season! We don’t know if this is officially true. So, we’ll classify that as a rumor for now.

The last time we saw Harmon in action on the show, his character Agent Gibbs along with Agent McGee were taken hostage by a group of insurgents in the deep jungles of Paraguay. They sent their chopper to rescue the lives of the children they had saved from custody after a group of rebels attacked them.

If Harmon is indeed not participating in much of the action roles, that will certainly limit his involvement a great amount this season because it’s reported that season 15 will feature a ton of action. Actor Wilmer Valderrama who plays character Agent Nicholas Torres recently told the press the NCIS season 15 squad will present a different vibe while retaining the similar close-knit group that it has been always from the beginning.

In related news, CBS recently revealed a teaser description for the season 15 premiere episode 1. It’s titled,”House Divided.” The description revealed that the storyline will pick up about two months after the events of the season 14 finale episode.

Gibbs and McGee will still be held hostage while the NCIS D.C. team frantically tries to locate their whereabouts. We’ll also see agents Vance and Torres have to go before congress to deal with this whole mess that took place in Paraguay.

CBS also released some promo photos for the episode which feature Gibbs and McGee in pretty bad shape in the Paraguay prison. One photo does show them passing the time by sitting down and chit chatting. Then there’s a photo that shows McGee crawling around. It looks like he’s trying to find away to escape or something. He’s definitely searching for something in that scene.

There’s a close up snap shot that features agents Torres and Bishop in a scene. They’re looking into something and appear to be pretty serious and intense. There’s a photo that shows some of the NCIS members on the scene where a dead body is found. So, that looks pretty serious.

The last photo shows a crime scene with “do not enter” yellow tape all over the place to block everybody out from entering. We certainly hope that Harmon isn’t excluded from a ton of scenes. But, if those reports are true,it looks like that could be the case. We’ll have to wait and see to be sure.

Season 15 is set to debut next Tuesday night, September 26,2017 at 7 pm central standard time on CBS. Stay tuned. Also, be sure to follow us on our NCIS Facebook page for more NCIS news by Clicking Here.
