Accused Season 1 May 9, 2023 Episode 15 Is The Finale. Season 2 Is Happening

Hey, “Accused” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed episode 15 tonight, especially since it was indeed the season 1 finale episode to wrap up the season. This means you guys won’t be getting a new episode of Accused for quite some time. However, here’s the good news. We can officially tell you that FOX has indeed renewed Accused for a brand new season 2! So, you guys will get some more new episodes of this show at some point in the future.

According to the folks over at Deadline.com, FOX actually gave Accused an early renewal way back in March 2023. So, they were apparently quite pleased with its performance.

In fact, we’ve got some positive statements from the president of scripted programming over at FOX Michael Thorn, and the president of Sony Pictures Television Katherine Pope. Sony actually owns this show and sold it to FOX, and both of these companies had wonderful things to say about the show.

FOX’s Michael Thorn stated, “Accused and Alert stand out as two of this season’s new broadcast and multi-platform success stories. Looking to 2023-24, we’ll continue to deliver on the powerful storytelling coming from both series, building on our incredible partnership with Sony and further solidifying Fox’s strong slate of dramas, giving our schedule tremendous season-to-season stability.

With Accused, Howard Gordon has taken the crime anthology to new heights and acclaim, featuring an all-star roster of directors and talent headlining gripping episodes that entertain viewers with a provocative, fresh take on many of the most relevant, timely issues of our day.

Scott, Dania, John and Jamie have done an incredible job launching Alert and bringing its story into heart-pounding focus, giving us an emotionally intense procedural drama that’s primed for even more success as Carla takes the day-to-day reins, continuing the great work we’ve seen this season.”

Accused season 1 averaged 2.434 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.39 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 14, which aired last Tuesday night, May 2, 2023, managed to draw in 1.897 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.21 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 8.705 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 6 with 1.578 million LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 2.08 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 13 with a 0.18 ratings score. Accused got as high as 11.3 million viewers with the streaming platforms included, and a 2.3 ratings score, giving it one of the highest-rated debut numbers for a show since two years ago.
