48 Hours June 17, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed

Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back on here to let you know that unfortunately, CBS is not airing a new episode of 48 Hours tonight, June 15, 2023. That’s right, guys. CBS is giving you a repeat episode of 48 Hours instead. However, if you missed this particular repeat episode, it could be like a new episode for you. So, we’re going to give some preview information for it, and you can see if you want to check it out or not.

CBS served up a new, official press release for tonight’s June 17, 2023 repeat episode of 48 Hours. So, we’re going to certainly reference it for this preview session. Let’s get into it.

For starters, CBS let us know that this repeat episode of 48 Hours is titled, “The Strange Death of Professor Shockley.” It originally aired back on October 15, 2022.

In this repeat episode of 48 Hours, the 48 Hours team took a deep look into a story about a woman named Marianne Shockley. She was a popular University of Georgia professor, and she had a boyfriend named Marcus Lillard. They got together with a former psychologist named Clark Heindel in May of 2019 to enjoy a hot tub session while listening to music.

After the night was done, the psychologist Clark Heindel and Marianne Shockley turned up dead. The boyfriend Marcus Lillard was the only one still alive. American reporter Jonathan Vigliotti handled the reporting duties for this episode, and he served up the details of what happened that night.

CBS’ official description for this repeat episode of 48 Hours reads like this, “Popular University of Georgia professor Marianne Shockley; her boyfriend, Marcus Lillard; and former psychologist Clark Heindel got together one night in May 2019 for a dip in a hot tub and to listen to music.

Hours later, the professor and the psychologist were dead and only the professor’s boyfriend was alive. 48 HOURS contributor Jonathan Vigliotti reports on what happened that night in an encore of “The Strange Death of Professor Shockley.”

An alternate description tells us, “When a popular University of Georgia professor, her boyfriend, and a former psychologist get together one night in May 2019, only the boyfriend is left alive.”

CBS’ press release confirmed that 48 Hours is a repeat episode tonight, June 17, 2023, and it’s scheduled to show up on your TV screens, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time.
