The CBS people put out a new, official press release for tonight’s June 24, 2023 repeat episode. So, that is what we’ll be using to deliver this preview session. Let’s get to it.

First off, this repeat episode of 48 hours is officially titled, “A MAN WITH A PAST.” In this repeat episode, the 48 Hours team took a deep look at a story about a woman named Lori Ann Slesinski. She was a recent college graduate that went missing way, way back in 2006 over in Auburn, Alabama. Then, her car was found totally engulfed in fire 4 days later on an empty street!

During the investigation, the police believed that a man named Rick Ennis was the last person to see Lori before she disappeared. However, Rick moved out of Auburn after he talked with the police, and it would eventually take them 12 full years to make a case against Rick for the murder of Lori.

In 2018, Rick was finally charged with killing Lori even though her body was actually never found. American news reporter Peter Van Sant handled the reporting duties for this episode.

CBS’ official description for this repeat episode of 48 Hours reads like this, “Lori Ann Slesinski, a recent college graduate, disappeared in 2006 from Auburn, Ala. Four days after she went missing, her car was found engulfed in flames on a deserted street. Police believed Rick Ennis was the last person with her before she disappeared.

However, Ennis moved away from Auburn after he talked with police. It would take 12 years before authorities made a case against him. In 2018, Ennis was charged with Slesinski’s murder, even though her body was never found. It was not the first time Ennis was charged with such a horrific crime. In 1993, when he was 12 years old, Ennis murdered his parents. But did he kill Lori Slesinski?”
