Tough As Nails Season 5 July 30, 2023 Episode 10 Is The Finale. Season 6 Not Yet Confirmed
Hey, “Tough As Nails” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed the heck out of tonight’s episode 10 of Tough As Nails, especially since it was indeed the last one of this current season 5 and possibly forever. However, we do doubt that, but we do have to tell you that we don’t currently have official confirmation from CBS on whether they plan to give Tough As Nails a new season 6 order.
Again, we think CBS will probably get around to renewing Tough As Nails for a new season 6, and they just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Given this current landscape of a writers and actors strike, CBS will need as many reality shows as they can get to fill in for all the scripted shows that will be MIA (Missing In Action) as a result of the strikes.
We did gather up some Tough As Nails season 5 performance numbers for you guys to get some more insight into why it would or wouldn’t be renewed for a new season 6.
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, Tough As Nails season 5 averaged 2.075 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.18 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 9, which aired this past Friday night, July 28, 2023, managed to draw in 2.255 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.17 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 9 with the 2.255 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episodes were the premiere episodes 1 and 2. They both tied for last place with 1.882 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was episode 3 with a 0.23 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 6 with a 0.14 ratings score. The number of average viewers per episode for season 5 was down 35.52 percent from season 4.
Will that be enough of a downturn to stop Tough As Nails from getting renewed? We’re leaning towards no, because Tough As Nails is one of these reality shows CBS will need to fill in for a lot of missing scripted TV show gaps in the unforeseeable future.
