48 hours August 12, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back on to let you know that the folks over at CBS do have another episode of 48 Hours all queued up and ready to go for you guys tonight, August 12, 2023. However, it will be a repeat episode again since it’s still the offseason. Since some of you guys might not have seen this particular repeat episode when it first aired, we do have some preview information for it.
CBS put out a new, official press release for tonight’s, August 12, 2023 repeat episode. So, we’re going to certainly take a look at it for this preview session. Let’s get into it.
To start, tonight’s August 12, 2023 repeat episode of 48 Hours does have an official title. It’s called, “The ‘Unsolvable’ Murder of Roxanne Wood.” It originally aired back on November 12, 2022.
In tonight’s August 12, 2023 repeat episode, the 48 Hours team took a deep look at a story about a man named Terry Wood. Way back in February of 1987, Terry came home from a night of bowling to find that his wife Roxanne Wood was dead on the kitchen floor!
Detectives who worked the case at the time, said Roxanne had been sexually assaulted, and her throat was slashed. They preserved the DNA from the crime scene. However, technology wasn’t advanced enough at that time to gather enough evidence to charge anyone. So, this case went cold for a whopping 34 friggin years.
After those long, 34 years passed, Investigative genetic genealogist Gabriella Vargas reopened the case and tracked down the killer with the help of an undercover cop and a cigarette butt. Correspondent Peter VanSant handled the reporting duties for this episode.
CBS’ official description for tonight’s August 11, 2023 repeat episode of 48 Hours reads like this, “The work of investigative genetic genealogist Gabriella Vargas, an undercover cop and a cigarette butt leads investigators to a Michigan woman’s killer 34 years after the case went cold.”
If any of you guys happened to have missed that particular repeat episode of 48 Hours when it originally aired, you might still want to hit up CBS tonight to check it out. If you did see this repeat episode during its original airing, and you have no desire to watch it again, you will certainly want to ditch CBS tonight and get some other plans lined up.
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that 48 Hours will be a repeat episode again tonight, August 12, 2023, and it’s scheduled to hit your TV screens, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
