48 Hours September 9, 2023 Episode Not Airing Due To LIVE Football Coverage
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We are ,unfortunately, back on here to let you know that CBS will not have a 48 Hours episode lined up for you tonight, September 9, 2023. Yeah, they’re dedicating their entire Saturday Night primetime line up to presenting LIVE coverage of a College football game that’s featuring the Charlotte 49ers vs the Maryland Terrapins.
CBS’ official description for their LIVE coverage of this college football game reads like this, “College Football Charlotte at Maryland LIVE. The Terrapins (1-0) square up with the 49ers (1-0). Taulia Tagovailoa accounted for five touchdowns in Maryland’s 56-21 triumph at Charlotte last year. Maryland took down Towson in its opener, while Charlotte got the better of South Carolina State.” They’re covering it from 6:30pm to 10pm central standard time.
If any of you guys also happen to be fans of college football, you might still want to tune into CBS tonight to check out this game. If you are not a college football fan, you will certainly want to avoid CBS tonight, and make some alternate plans.
With all that said, we do have some great news for you guys. We’ve officially learned that CBS will finally start presenting brand new episodes of 48 Hours again next Saturday night, September 16, 2023 because it will be the start of 48 Hours’ brand new season 37.
They’re going to air 2, new, back-to-back episodes of 48 Hours on September 16, 2023. The first one will show up in the 8 pm central standard time slot. It’s titled, “The Gilgo Beach Serial Killings.” The 2nd one will hit the air in the 9pm central standard time slot. It’s titled, “The Night of the Idaho Student Murders.”
CBS has not released the full episode press release descriptions for these two episodes yet, but we’ll be back on here to reveal them next Saturday night.
Again, it’s been confirmed that 48 Hours is not airing tonight, September 9, 2023 due to LIVE college football coverage, but new episodes of 48 Hours will finally pop up next Saturday night, September 16, 2023, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
