20/20 August 18, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back in your faces to let you know that ABC is indeed serving up another episode of 20/20 tonight, August 18, 2023. However, please note that it will be a repeat episode again since they’re still in the offseason. Some of you guys might not have seen this particular repeat episode when it aired for the first time. So, we’re going to give you some preview information for it.
We were able to track down the official press release for tonight’s August 18, 2023 repeat episode. So, we’re going to take a look at it ,right now, for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
First off, there is an official title for tonight’s August 18, 2023 repeat episode of Dateline NBC. It’s called, “I Now Pronounce You Dead.” It originally aired way, way back on January 4, 2022.
In tonight’s August 18, 2023 repeat episode, the 20/20 team took a deep look at a story about a woman named Molly Watson. She was about to get married to James Addie. However, that wedding never took place because poor Molly was found tragically murdered just two days before the wedding was set to happen. A motorist discovered her body on a quiet Missouri road.
The detectives that worked the case found an elaborate and tangled web of lies surrounding James Addie. These lies were used to hide a real big secret of his. He was apparently living a double life. He was already married to someone else for 20 years and had kids with this person.
The detectives tried to research just how far James would go to keep his double life a secret. American journalist Deborah Roberts did an interview with James’ ex-wife Melanie Addie in this episode. During it, Melanie talked about how this whole situation totally destroyed the life she once had.
This episode also featured interviews with: Glen McSparren, the motorist who found Watson’s body and may have seen the killer at the scene; Sam Addie, James’ brother; Sheriff Joe Colston, who helped in the investigation; and Samantha Cohen, Chrystal Graves-Yazici and Tabetha Schilb, wedding vendors who worked closely with Watson and Addie in the days before Watson’s murder, Tim Watson, Watson’s brother; Patsy Dent, Watson’s aunt; Jodi Lindberg, Watson’s cousin and prosecutors Talley Smith and Katharine Dolin.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s, August 18, 2023 repeat episode of 20/20 reads like this,”When a young woman is found murdered, her fiancée’s shocking double life is revealed.’20/20′ DOCUMENTS HOW JAMES ADDIE’S DOUBLE LIFE LED TO A SHOCKING MURDER.” An alternate description tells us, “A man’s double life leads to a shocking murder. The first interview with his ex-wife.”
If any of you guys missed this particular repeat episode of 20/20 when it originally hit the air, you might still want to tune into ABC tonight to check it out. If you did already see this repeat episode, and you have no desire to watch it again, you will certainly want to avoid ABC tonight at that time.
Again, ABC’s press release confirmed that 20/20 will be a repeat episode again tonight, August 18, 2023, and it’s scheduled to arrive on your TV screens, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
