‘Invictus’ Movie Gets Excellent Reviews From Top Critics
‘Invictus’ movie gets excellent reviews from top critics. Warner Bros released its new drama filmed today, entitled, “Invictus.” It stars: Morgan Freeman, and Matt Damon. Apparently, the top movie critics really like this film as they gave it excellent reviews. It got mostly As,Bs,and only two Cs.
Ty Burr from the Boston Globe gave it a B rating. She stated, “Knowing he’s working on a grand scale, Eastwood daringly chooses restraint.”
Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times gave it an A-. He said, it was “a very good film.” Matt Pais rated it a C. He said, “This year’s contender for most mediocre Best Picture nominee.”
Dezhda Gaubert from E! online gave it a B+. He said, “Absorbing, often electric with the energy of the playing field.” Owen Gleiberman over at “Entertainment Weekly” gave it another B+ rating,stating, “more fascinating — and intelligent, and moving — than it sounds.”
Chris Cabin from Filmcritic.com gave it a B+. He stated, “Never one to leave a film at face value, Eastwood remains, at 79, a brave and unpredictable director of beautifully made Hollywood pictures.”
Hollywood Reporter’s Kirk Honeycutt gave it a C+. He said, “A temperate, evenhanded perhaps overly timid film about an intemperate time in South Africa.”
Lou Lumenick from the New York Post gave it an A-. He stated, “…entertainingly delves into South African politics and rugby, two normally forbidding subjects for American audiences.”
A.O. Scott from the New York Times gave it another A-. He said, “.a rousing true story of athletic triumph.” James Berardinelli over at Reelviews gave it a B. He said, “it makes its point early about the power of sports as a force of unification then beats us over the head by repeating that idea ad nauseam.”
Peter Travers from Rolling Stone gave it an A-. He stated, “.a film that truly is good for the soul.” Mick LaSalle from the San Francisco Chronicle gave it a B rating. He said, “It’s intelligent and classically made, and some people could easily mistake it for a great film.”
USA Today’s Claudia Puig gave it an A-. She stated, “the key to Invictus is not players running around on a field. It’s two stellar performances and a story that stirs hearts and intrigues minds.” “Invictus” movie is in theaters now.

I love how the big newspapers allways leave one sentence reviews and that’s a review.
The should do full page reviews if they truly mean it.
