Top Critics Gave ‘The Lightning Thief’ Movie Pretty Mixed Reviews
Top Critics gave ‘The Lightning Thief’ movie pretty mixed reviews. 20th Century Fox introduced it’s new supernatural flick today entitled,”Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief.” It sort of impressed a couple of the top critics,but mostly, they say it was half good,or not really that good. It stars: Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Sean Bean, Pierce Brosnan, Steve Coogan, Rosario Dawson, Catherine Keener, Kevin McKidd, Joe Pantoliano, Uma Thurman,and Ray Winstone.
Wesley Morris at the Boston Globe gave it a C rating. He said, “struggles in shadow of Harry Potter.” Roger Ebert over at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a B. He stated, “Uma Thurman demonstrates she can wear a snake-covered head as gracefully as Pierce Brosnan can trot around with a horse’s netherlands.”
Michael Phillips at the Chicago Tribune gave it a C. He said, “this could be the start of something adequate.” Bill Gibron from Filmcritic.com gave it a B- stating, it was a “half-success.”
Ethan Alter from the Hollywood Reporter gave it a C+ rating. He stated, that it “doesn’t have the goods to become the next Harry Potter.” Stephen Holden over at the New York Times gave it a C. He said, it was “agreeably tame and unthreatening.”
