Riverdale Season 3 Is Bringing Back A Creepy And Surprising Character

Hey “Riverdale” fans. We’ve got a new update for you guys today in regards to what’s going to take in place in the upcoming 3rd season. It turns out that a character we thought might be dead, or at the very least, totally out of the picture is schedule to show back up at some point.

The folks over at Screenrant.com are reporting that Alice Cooper portrayer Madchen Amick revealed that the very creepy Chic Cooper character played by actor Hart Denton is indeed returning to spook our Riverdale screens again in season 3!

Apparently, Madchen delivered this revelation while speaking at an event for mental health awareness. Hart Denton was actually there and he introduced Madchen. After that, Madchen went on to tell the audience that Hart Denton’s Chic Cooper character will be back in action in season 3 stating, “I’m sure you’re all aware of Denton’s creepy portrayal of the Cooper son, and I can’t wait to see what he’s gonna be up to in season three… SPOILER ALERT!”

The last time we saw Chic in action, he was running for his freaking life after a very angry Betty Cooper sicked the the Black Hood on him after learning he wasn’t really her half brother and that he may have had something to do with her real half brother’s death. Her real half brother’s name was revealed to be Charles Cooper.

Unfortunately, there are no current details about what Chic will be up to in season 3 or when he will show up. The only thing we know right now is that he will be back in action at some point. The people over at Screenrant are speculating that Chic could possibly return to get some revenge on Betty for sicking the psycho “Black Hood” on him. Other than that, there doesn’t seem to be much reason for Chic to want to return to Riverdale. So, it’ll definitely be interesting to see what the producers come up with.

Speaking of the producers, we recently reported that the show’s showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa gave some initial season 3 spoiler teasers to Deadline.com. He told them season 3 is going to have a Sin City feel to it now that Hiram Lodge has basically taken over the town. He stated, “First of all, we are keeping our group together as much as possible even though potentially Archie is going to go to the slammer for a bit.

But also, if the idea is that Hiram Lodge has taken possession of Riverdale and then Riverdale has become something like Sin City. So, like the movie and the comic book that Frank Miller wrote that were comprised of short stories that kind of came together to tell one big story about Sin City.

So, one idea is that we might shift the focus around on different characters, some of our supporting players as well to kind of tell a tapestry of what life is like when Riverdale is on the verge of becoming Sin City. So, keep an eye out on the supporting players like Cheryl and Tony and Kevin and Josie. They’re going to carry more story than they have in Season 1 and Season 2.”

Roberto also told them we might see Jughead’s mother Gladys Jones show up on the season 3 scene at some point along with Jughead’s sister Jellybean Jones! He stated, “As for new characters, I think it was really great to add Hiram Lodge to the mix in Season 2. He really shook up the Lodge family and that crime franchise. So, characters we’ve been teasing since Season 1 are Gladys Jones, FP’s wife and Jughead’s mom, and Jellybean Jones, who’s Jughead’s sister. I wouldn’t be surprised if they came to Riverdale bringing bad tidings for Jughead and Betty and FP and Alice.”

Alright guys. How do you feel about the creepy Chic Cooper character returning for season 3? Are you happy about it? Are you sad about it? Or do you just not care one way or the other? Let us know in the Facebook comments.
