New Riverdale Season 3 Major Spoiler Teasers Revealed By The Cast & Producers At 2018 Comic Con
Hey Riverdale fans. It’s time to give you guys some new, interesting season 3 spoiler teasers. This time, we were able to collect some really good stuff from the Riverdale cast and producers when they showed up at the big 2018 Comic-Con event in San Diego, California yesterday, July 22, 2018.
As previously reported, Riverdale’s main stars: KJ Apa aka Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart aka Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes aka Veronica Lodge, Cole Sprouse aka Jughead Jones, Marisol Nichols aka Hermione Lodge, Madelaine Petsch aka Cheryl Blossom, Ashleigh Murray aka Jose McCoy , Mark Consuelos aka Hiram Lodge, Casey Cott aka Kevin Keller, Skeet Ulrich aka FP Jones, Mädchen Amick aka Alice Cooper, Luke Perry aka Fred Andrews and Vanessa Morgan aka Toni Topaz all showed up to do their big fan Question and Answers segment for the fans who were on hand.
They were joined by the show’s executive producers: Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Sarah Schechter and Jon Goldwate. We learned a lot of interesting things during their session. Betty and Judghead are going to get cracking on a new investigation. Cheryl is going to run into some issues while trying to make new power moves. Veronica is going to be hustling to make her new business venture a success. We got confirmation that the rest of Jughead’s family will be arriving in season 3 and more!
To get things started, Betty Cooper star Lili Reinhart revealed that Jughead and Betty will still be going strong in season 3. She stated when asked about Jughead and Betty, “Right now, I think they’re rock solid.” She also revealed that Jughead and Betty are going to start off season 3 by diving into new mystery. They will be the investigative team they were in season one. Betty will also really own her title of “Serpent Queen” while standing by Jughead’s side.
They revealed that the season 3 timeline will jump three months ahead from where the season 2 finale episode left off, and Veronica and Archie will definitely face some very tough times. Veronica star Camila Mendes said when asked about Archie and Veronica,”I think they’re going to run into some problems.” Archie star KJ Apa added to that saying, “The distance and separation, if he goes away, is going to be tough.”
Kevin Keller star Casey Cott revealed that Kevin and Moose are going to start up a romantic fling in season 3 by saying, “They are going to be a thing.” Also, producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed that Reggie is going to start working at Veronica’s speakeasy, and he will get involved in a new, shocking romance.
Lili revealed that she’s going to have some major issues with her mother Alice and Polly due to their new, weird beliefs they have taken on. Lili said of her Betty season 3 version, “Betty spent her summer doing an internship, and she was really distracting herself. Alice and Polly kind of attack her. Their new, weird spirituality with the farm makes them tell her that she needs to listen to her soul and confront her problems. So,Betty wants to stay far, far away from them.”
Madelaine Petch who plays character Cheryl Blossom chimed in to give the rundown on what Cheryl will be up to in season 3. It turns out that she will definitely be emancipated from her wicked mother and officially dating Toni Topaz. She’ll also be trying to make some power moves that won’t play out so great. Madelaine stated of Cheryl, “She’s going to start making power grabs, left, right and center which won’t go so great.”
Camila Mendes chimed in with some more season 3 intel on her Veronica character. It turns out that Veronica will be hustling more to make her investment in Pop’s Diner a success. She will try to prove that she’s not just a spoiled rich girl. Camila stated, “Veronica’s going to be like an entrepreneur in season 3. She needs to make her own money, and so she’s working at Pop’s, just hustling. We’ll show that she’s not a spoiled, rich girl. She’s trying to prove herself to everybody.”
Actress Marisol Nichols who plays Veronica’s mother Hermione Lodge revealed that Hermione will make some pretty major changes in season 3 as the new mayor of Riverdale. Marisol stated, “Hermione is really happy to have a little power of her own, and I think she’s going to use that power to change how her marriage has been for the past season.”
Producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa definitely confirmed that we’re going to see Jughead’s mother Gladys and his sister Jellybean show up on the season 3 scene in around episode 8 or 9!
Luke Perry who plays Archie’s father Fred Andrews revealed that Fred is going to get Jughead’s father F.P. Jones and former Sheriff Keller to help him out with something. Season 3 is also going serve up a flashback episode that features the Riverdale teens playing their parents. We’re also going to get another musical episode at some point in season 3.
The Riverdale season 3 cast and crew also revealed a season 3 preview clip. The clip mostly featured scenes from seasons 1 and 2. Then at the very end of it, it showed a couple of season 3 scenes. It featured Archie taking the gang on a Labor Day lake vacation.
At one point, Betty catches a glimpse of a creepy ceremony at Alice and Polly’s cult-like community. It was really weird. There were people holding babies in the air over flaming fire like they were about to sacrifice them!
