New ‘Riverdale’ Season 3 To Deliver Important And Major Surprises With One Of The Characters

Hey, “Riverdale” fans. We’ve got a brand new report for you guys in regards to the upcoming 3rd season. It turns out that one of the characters who didn’t get a lot of screentime in the first two seasons is about to get stepped up a bit. Not only that, this character is going to deliver some hefty surprises and reveal a whole other side of themselves! These new character changes will play a very important role in this current season 3.

The character that we’re talking about is Ethel Muggs. She’s played by actress Shannon Purser. You guys can view pics of her on her official IMDB page by Clicking Here. You guys remember Ethel, right? She’s the one who threw a pink milkshake all over Veronica when she found out that Veronica’s dad Hiram Lodge was the one who caused all of her family’s recent problems. She was also accused of murdering classmate Midge as revenge for not getting to the role of Carrie in the school musical.

Well, if you don’t remember her, it certainly sounds like you’ll get a big reminder of her in season 3. The folks over at Bustle.com, recently got to chat up Ethel’s portrayer Shannon Purser while she was promoting her new Netflix movie labeled, “Sierra Burgess is a loser”,and she explained a little bit of what we can expect to see from Ethel in season 3, but she couldn’t give away too much which is certainly understandable.

Shannon revealed that we’re definitely going to see Ethel get a lot more screentime than she’s been getting, and her storyline is going to be hella interesting to boot. Well, we certainly couldn’t ask for anything more than that. Shannon stated, “There’s definitely more Ethel in Season 3. So, fans can definitely look forward to that and it’s definitely interesting.”

Next, Shannon revealed that Ethel is going to bring some pretty major changes too. She will have a whole brand new side to her. Shannon stated, “I can’t give away too much, but she definitely undergoes some pretty big changes. There’s a new side of her that fans haven’t seen before. I think it plays a very interesting part in the story this season.”

Back in March 2018, Shannon did an interview with TeenVogue.com and talked more about her Ethel character saying,”Ethel especially, I think she could easily come off as sort of one-dimensional, but she’s not. She’s a human being, and she’s having a really rough time with her family. It’s been really interesting to show the results of all of that inner turmoil and her kind of snapping.

I think Ethel is really just trying to prove herself as a person. I think she really wants people to know that she has something to say and that she is not just some awkward throwaway character, but that she has value. I think her big thing is right now that she feels so isolated and nobody is listening to her. That’s kind of why she sort of takes the power back.”

So, it definitely does sound like this Ethel character will indeed have a ton more elements to bring to the table, and it appears that we will see all of them come out in this upcoming third season. Are you guys excited to see this new side of the Ethel Muggs character in the upcoming season 3? Or do you just not care one way or the other? Let us know in the Facebook comments.
