‘Supernatural’ Season 15, December 19, 2019 Episode 9 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “Supernatural” fans. We unfortunately have some bad news for you guys in this brand new article tonight. We’ve just learned that your favorite show “Supernatural” is currently on a short hiatus. That means The CW will not be airing the next, new episode 9 tonight, December 19, 2019.

In fact, The CW will not be airing the new episode 9 for a couple of weeks. The CW revealed that they plan to air episode 9 on January 16, 2020 in its usual 7 pm central standard time slot.

So, be sure to write down that very important date and time or commit it to memory as soon as possible.

So, what is The CW airing in place of Supernatural tonight? According to the TV Guide listings, The CW is going to air a new Iheartradio Christmas special tonight from 7 pm to 8:30 pm central standard time. It’s titled, “IHEARTRADIO JINGLE BALL 2019.”


The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “This 90-minute holiday music event celebrates the season with performances by the year’s biggest recording artists and will feature star-studded performances from many of today’s hottest musical stars.”

Then next Thursday night, December 26, 2019, The CW is going to air another Iheartradio special in the 7 pm to 8 pm central standard time slot. It’s titled, “IHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL GREATEST MOMENTS.”

The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “Prince and Mary J. Blige, Miley Cyrus and Billy Idol, Taylor Swift, Pink, Britney Spears, Shawn Mendes, and Queen and Fun are featured in this collection of memorable performances from the annual music festival.”

On January 2, 2020, The CW will air a repeat episode of Supernatural. It will be the second episode of this current and last 15th season. It’s titled, “Back and to the Future.”

The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “Picking up here we left off last season, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are left to defend the world after all the souls in hell have been released and are back on Earth and free to kill again.”

On Thursday night, January 9, 2020, The CW will air another repeat episode of Supernatural. It’s the 8th episode of season 15 titled, “Our Father, Who Aren’t in Heaven.”

The CW’s official description for it reads like this,”Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel’s (Misha Collins) continued search for a way to defeat Chuck (guest star Rob Benedict) leads them to unexpected places and toward unlikely allies.”

If that line of programming sounds good to you, you might still want to watch The CW during Supernatural’s winter break. If not, you will certainly want to schedule something else for the next couple of weeks.

We were able to gather up a little bit of info for the new episode 9 of Supernatural. The CW released an official title for it and a preview clip. These items may contain spoiler teasers. If you don’t like spoilers, you might want to bail out of this article right now.

If you don’t mind spoilers, definitely be sure to keep reading. Now that our spoiler warning is out of the way, let’s take a look at this new episode 9 title and preview clip. Episode 9 is officially labeled, “The Trap.” That’s nice and simple isn’t it?

The new episode 9 preview clip starts out with Chuck aka God telling Sam, “Come on Sam. Don’t you want to see the future?” After that, the clip cuts to a scene where Dean is shouting,”The monsters are everywhere!”

After that, we hear Chuck again saying, “This is the truth, Sam. This is what comes next.” Sam says, “No, it can’t end like this.” Then Chuck says, “So, what did you think?”

Again, The CW confirmed that the new episode 9 is scheduled to air on Thursday night, January 16, 2019 at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
