Chicago Fire Season 9, January 20, 2021 Episode 4 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “Chicago Fire” fans. We are unfortunately back with some more bad news to share with you guys. It turns out that NBC will not be airing the next, new episode 4 of Chicago Fire’s current season 9 tonight, January 20, 2021.

On a much brighter note, NBC has informed us that you can expect to see the new episode 4 to get shown next Wednesday night, January 27, 2021 in its usual, 8 pm central standard time slot. So, be sure to drill that very important date and time into your memory banks or write down. Do whatever you need to do to remember it.

So, what is NBC possibly airing instead of the next, new episode 4 of Chicago Fire’s current season 9 tonight? According to the TV Guide listings, NBC is going to air a special called, “Celebrating America.” Apparently, it’s part of the whole Presidential inauguration festivities that all the major networks have been covering today.

NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “Tom Hanks hosts a celebration of the beginning of a new national journey toward a united America; featuring remarks from Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and Kamala D. Harris, and performances by Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Ant Clemons and Jon Bon Jovi.”

If you guys think you might want to check out that Celebrating America special tonight, you might still want to flip on NBC to catch it.

If you know you definitely don’t want to watch it, you will certainly want to start making other plans right this second.

With all that said, NBC did leave us with some additional info for the next, new episode 4 of Chicago Fire’s current season 9 via their official episode 9 press release. So, we’re going to go over the details of it.

We must warn you that it does contain light spoiler teasers. So, if you don’t want to read any spoilers, we highly advise you to bail out of this article right now.

On the other hand, if you totally love spoiler scoops and can’t get enough of them, we definitely recommend that you stick around. Alright, let’s get into this. To start, NBC let us know that episode 4 has been officially titled, “FUNNY WHAT THINGS REMIND US.”

It sounds like episode 4 will feature some very interesting,intense, dramatic, action-filled and suspenseful scenes.

In the new episode 4, Boden will have an interesting-sounding moment. Apparently, he will be busy trying to finish up a task that headquarters assigned to him. During this time, he will make a surprising connection.

The firehouse crew will certainly be in action in this episode when an explosion takes place on a construction site. During this outing, Gallo will be forced into action in an effort to make a surprise rescue.

Elsewhere, Mouch will be very busy stirring up some heavy drama with an old feud of his.

NBC’s official description for episode 4 reads like this, “While completing a task assigned to him by headquarters, Boden makes an unforeseen connection. When the firehouse is called to the site of a construction explosion, Gallo is forced to make a surprise rescue to one of their own. Mouch reignites an old feud.”

Again, NBC confirmed that the next, new episode 4 of Chicago Fire’s current season 9 is indeed scheduled to air next Wednesday night, January 27, 2021 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
