The Amazing Race February 23, 2022 Eliminated No One (Recap)
Hey, “The Amazing Race” fans. Tonight, February 23, 2022, another new episode of The Amazing Race season 33 did indeed air. Tonight’s episode kicked off with the teams learning they needed to head to Thessaloniki, Greece. Once there, they had to and go to Theatro Dassous to get their first clue for this leg of the race.
When they got the clue, they were presented with a Road Block challenge. During it, one teammember had to search under a whole bunch of stones until they found the one that had a gold coin under it. Then, they had to present it to the oracle to get their next clue.
Dusty of team Dusty & Ryan and had a real hard time with this one. He was the last one there still searching for a stone with a gold coin underneath it, and it totally caused them to fall into last place. However, Dusty did eventually find the stone with the golden coin after much frustration.
After the teams found their stone with the golden coin under it, they were directed to go to the Trigonion Tower to get their next clue. When they got there, they ran into their detours for this leg of the race. They got to choose to do either the “Bring Em” or “Break Em” detour.
In the “Bring Em” detour, the teams had to carry 300 plates to Cafe Jasmine to get their next clue. In the “Break Em” detour, the teams had to smash through a pile of plates until they found their next clue inside one of the plates. However, they could only smash the plates when the band was playing music. So, they had to smash those plates super fast before the music stopped.
Arun & Natalia actually got lost when trying to find their way to the Trigonion Tower, and it allowed Ryan & Dusty to almost catch up to them.
After the teams successfully completed their detours, they were directed to go to the White Tower, which was the pit stop for this leg of the race. Raquel & Cayla arrived in first place and won trip for 2 to Hawaii for 6 nights from Travelocity.
Kim & Penn took 2nd place. Arun & Natalia claimed the 3rd spot. That means poor Ryan & Dusty did show up last, but host Phil Keoghan told them this was a non-elimination leg. So, Ryan & Dusty do get to stick around for the next leg, but they will be the last team to depart in the next leg. So, they will have some catching up they’ll need to do.
