Saturday Night LIVE May 6, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat
Hey, “Saturday Night LIVE” fans. Unfortunately, we have some real bad news for you guys in this article. We had previously reported that Saturday Night LIVE would be back with a brand new episode tonight, May 6, 2023, but that’s all gone to hell now, and we don’t know for how long.
Apparently, the folks over at NBC recently put out an official press release informing us that the writers have decided to go on strike again. So, they won’t be creating anymore new episodes as long as they’re on strike, forcing NBC to have to keep running repeat episodes of Saturday Night LIVE indefinitely.
That’s right, guys. NBC is going to air yet another repeat episode of Saturday Night LIVE tonight, May 6, 2023, and it could be this way until only God knows when. NBC’s official press release for this writer’s strike situation reads like this, “The previously announced “Saturday Night Live” hosted by Pete Davidson and musical guest Lil Uzi Vert is cancelled due to the writers’ strike. “SNL” will air repeats until further notice starting Saturday, May 6, 2023.”
With that said, we’ll just have to keep you guys informed on a week-by-week basis what the status of Saturday Night LIVE will be. We did track down the repeat episode that NBC is airing tonight. They’re going to air the episode that originally aired way back on March 11, 2023. This episode featured actress Jenna Ortega showing up to do the hosting duties, and English pop rock band 1975 hitting the stage to perform some songs for you guys.
If any of you guys happened to have missed that particular repeat episode when it originally aired, or if you just wouldn’t mind watching it again, you might still want to hit up NBC tonight to check it out. If you have no desire to watch this repeat episode of Saturday Night LIVE, you will certainly want to get some other plans lined up for tonight at your earliest convenience.
Again, NBC’s press release confirmed that Saturday Night LIVE will be a repeat episode tonight, May 6, 2023 due to a writer’s strike situation. The repeat episode will hit your TV sets at approximately 10:29 pm central standard time.
