The Challenge USA August 13, 2023 Eliminated Ameerah & Jonna (Recap)
Hey,”The Challenge USA” fans. Tonight, August 13, 2023, another new episode of The Challenge’s current season 2 did indeed hit the air, and we saw two unlucky contestants get sent packing by the time it was complete.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with a continuation of the last episode, which featured Ameerah and Luis getting picked for the elimination challenge. However, there was a secret vote twist that allowed a 3rd person to get picked. If that 3rd person was a woman, Ameerah had to face off against that person in the elimination challenge.
If the 3rd person was a guy, Luis would have to face that person. Members from the red and green team did the secret vote. Then, all the names were placed into a ball hopper machine for a random drawing. Host, TJ Lavin ended up drawing Michele’s name. So, Ameerah had to battle Michele in the elimination challenge, and Luis was safe.
The elimination challenge was titled, “Slam Dunk.” In this challenge, they put 1500 balls in a tank of water. Michele and Ameerah got dunked in the tank a total of 15 times. Each time they were dunked, their goal was to get as many of those 1500 balls out of the tank as they could. The person who got the most balls out of the tank after the 15 dunks, won.
It was a really close race,but Michele just edged out Ameerah for the win by getting out 1,319 balls over Ameerah’s 1,301 balls. Alyssa S told the private cams, “I’m pissed off that the vets are coming after my Big Brother family. I will target them the first chance I get.”
There was one more twist called the “defect” twist. This allowed the winner of the elimination challenge to switch to a different team. However, Michele ultimately decided to stick with her Red team. Next, there was some footage of Michele and Amanda getting into a big argument. It was pretty intense. It was mostly Amanda trying to pick a fight with Michele.
Tiffany told the private cams that she’s very blurred when it comes to her alliance because it’s a mix of Big Brother and Survivor people.
At this point, host TV Lavin gave the contestants their next team challenge. It was titled, “Working the Poles.” In this one, a pole platform was suspended above water. The Teams’ goal was to get as many of their members across to the other side of the platform the fastest.
If one of them fell in the water, they were out and that meant less team members for their team to get across to the other side. They did this for 2 heats, and the Green team ended up winning it. So, all their members were safe from elimination, and they got to pick one guy and one girl from either the blue or red team to compete in the elimination challenge.
At one point, Tori told the private cams, “I don’t wanna work with someone like Amanda, but I will try this time.” Tori and Jonna’s names were brought up as possible targets for the elimination challenge.
Most of the Green team decided that they wanted to nominate: Tori and Johnny Bananas for the elimination challenge because they really wanted to eliminate the veterans. One of the vets Wes was on the Green team and had a different opinion, but he was outnumbered. Wes told the private cams, “Johnny Bananas is my number one in this game.” Tiffany mentioned to the private cams that she has a bond with Jonna. So, she didn’t want to cast her as a secret vote.
After all of that, host TJ Lavin brought out the elimination challenge nominees: Johnny Bananas and Tori. However, there was also the secret vote twist, which could save one of them. All the secret votes were thrown into the ball hopper machine, and TJ pulled out Jonna’s name. So, Jonna had to go against Tori in the elimination challenge, and Johnny Bananas was safe.
The elimination challenge was titled, “Drop The Ball.” In this one, Tori and Jonna had to catch balls that were being rolled off a platform. Then, they had to put them in their bin. The one who collected the most balls when the time was up, won. They were also able to tackle each other and keep each other from getting their balls into the bin. So, things got really rough between these two ladies. They were shoving each up against the wall, kicking each other and tackling the heck out of each other!
In the end, Tori totally whipped up on Jonna and collected a score of 29 to Jonna’s 15 balls. So, Jonna was eliminated. In the defect twist, Tori decided to stay on her blue team. Tori told private cams of the green team “I’m going to wreak havoc on these b^%tches for trying to get rid of me.” So Jonna and Ameerah were eliminated in this episode.
