New American Idol April 28 & 29, 2024 Episodes Preview Revealed
Hey, “American Idol” fans. We’re back in your faces with another new preview session for this season 22 of American Idol. ABC is airing another set of back-to-back night episodes this week. They will be episodes 14 and 15. Episode 14 is airing tonight, April 28, 2024, and episode 15 is airing tomorrow night, April 29, 2024.
We’ve got official press releases from ABC for both of these episodes. So, that’s what we’ll be working with as a source for this preview session. Let’s get into it.
In tonight’s new episode 14, you’re going to see the top 10 hit the stage to belt out some new performances for you guys. Country music legend Shania Twain will show up to mentor the contestants at some point.
The contestants are only going to sing songs that were made during their year of birth. Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery is going to return to deliver a special performance. Also, “Just Sam” will perform too. At the end, two more contestants will get eliminated via America’s LIVE votes, narrowing down the field of contestants to the top 8.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new episode 14 reads like this, “Country music icon Shania Twain mentors the top 10 as they vie for a spot in the top eight with songs from their birth years. Performances from Scotty McCreery and Just Sam.”
In tomorrow night’s new episode 15, you guys will see the top 8 contestants show up to deliver another round of LIVE performances for you guys. They will perform a total of three songs. One of the songs will be anonymously selected by one of the judges: Luke Bryan, Katy Perry or Lionel Richie.
There will also be a tribute to Mandisa at some point. At the end, the LIVE, America’s votes for the top 6 will be revealed. However, the judges will get to throw in a special “save” for one of the contestants. So, we will only see one contestant get eliminated in this episode, revealing your top 7 contestants.
ABC’s official description for episode 15 reads like this, “American Idol (Judge’s Song Contest). The top 8 perform one of three songs anonymously selected by Luke, Katy or Lionel, who are each competing for most songs chosen. America votes live coast to coast for their top 6, with the judges making one save for the top 7. Tribute to Mandisa.”
ABC’s press release confirmed that new episodes of American Idol are airing tonight, April 28, 2024, and tomorrow night, April 29, 2024. They will both start at approximately 7 pm central standard time and last for 2 hours. So, expect them to wrap up at 9 pm central standard time.
