New Thor 2,Dark World Movie delivered great action,special effects,plot & more. Marvel Studios and Disney Pictures released their new hardcore action flick, “Thor 2: The Dark World” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was absolutely great,serving up non-stop action from beginning to end, along with a great storyline. The movie stars: Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo, and Anthony Hopkins.
In the new flick, all the nine realms became aligned for a certain period of time, which was referred to as the Convergence. This rare alignment allowed all the worlds to merge with one another,allowing an entry into each world,via one of the hidden access points. The evil Dark Elf leader, Maliketh, wanted to use this phenomena to rise back up and send the entire universe back into darkness, the way it was before the Asgardians destroyed all his forces the last time he tried to do it.
Unfortunately for Malekith, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) accidentally stumbled upon the weapon he needed to pull it off. The weapon was called the Aether. Apparently, Jane happened upon it after accidentally going through one of the invisible access points. This prompted Thor (Chris Hemsworth) to seek her out and bring her back to Asgard to figure out what to do about it as the Aether dwelled within her.
From there, Malekith attacked Asgard to try and retrieve the Aether. While unsuccessful in that attempt, he did eventually get the Aether back, and set out on his attempt to send the universe back into darkness. This prompted Thor to team back up with his crazy bother ,Loki (Tom Hiddleston), who was rotting away in an Asgardian prison for all his crimes he committed in New York City in the Avengers flick.
This set up the big conclusion, which involved a huge Thor vs. Malekith showdown that had them going from one end of the universe to the other, trying to kick each other’s asses. Meanwhile, Jane and her scientist peeps used a concoction that jumbled up the gravitational fields,helping to stop Malekith from unleashing the Aether into the universe by sucking him up back to his Svartalfheim world and supposedly killing him in the process.
Again, I enjoyed watching every last minute of this film as it was filled with nonstop action and a great plotline that kept me highly intrigued. And actually ,my favorite character in this movie was Jane’s sidekick, Darcy, played by Kat Dennings, because she was just so got damn funny and cute too. I gave the movie an A+ grade. Stay tuned.
