Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. We are back on here on another Sunday afternoon to let you know that CBS will indeed serve up another new episode of 60 Minutes tonight, October 29, 2023. That’s right, guys. CBS is going to serve up the next, new episode 7 of 60 Minutes’ current season 56 tonight, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.

We were able to track down an official press release for tonight’s new, October 29, 2023 episode 7 straight from the CBS folks. So, we will certainly reference it for this preview session. Let’s do it.

The first description for tonight’s new, October 29, 2023 episode 7 reveals that the 60 Minutes team is going to present a segment titled, “VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, correspondent Bill Whitaker interviews Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris in the Eisenhower Executive Office building.

Whitaker speaks with the Vice President about the situation in Israel and Gaza in the wake of the Hamas terror attack, and travels with her aboard Air Force Two to see her discuss important domestic issues, including gun violence prevention and immigration, while advocating for the Biden administration’s policy agenda at a college in Nevada. Marc Lieberman is the producer.”

The second description reveals that there will be a segment titled, “A QUIET INVASION.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Days after Russia invaded Ukraine, the country of Georgia applied for membership to the European Union, fearing that it could become Vladimir Putin’s next target.

Correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi meets with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili in Tbilisi to discuss that E-U bid, the presence of Russian troops inside Georgia’s borders, the recent influx of Russian residents and Kremlin influenced politics and propaganda, signaling a quiet invasion that she says is threatening the future of her country. Ashley Velie is the producer.”

The 3rd description reveals that there will be a segment titled, “THE AIR WE BREATHE.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “With a new strain of COVID-19 on the rise and flu season just getting started, Dr. Jon LaPook spotlights how lessons from the pandemic about the quality of indoor air are leading building owners to adopt new workplace air and ventilation systems to help contain contagious respiratory viruses. Andrew Wolff is the producer.”

The 4th and last description for tonight’s new, October 29, 2023 episode lets us know that there will be a segment titled, “THE STATE OF THE BLUES.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Jon Wertheim reports from the town of Clarksdale, Miss., where the Delta blues first flourished and where local musicians have been carrying on the blues tradition for generations.

In recent years, there’s been something of a renaissance in Clarksdale, as new fans and young blues artists have rediscovered the place. Wertheim meets Clarksdale native Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, heir to a long line of blues greats from the Delta – with surprise guest, actor and local blues club owner Morgan Freeman. This is a double-length segment. David M. Levine is the producer.”

CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 7 of 60 Minutes’s current season 56 is indeed scheduled to hit your TV screens tonight, October 29, 2023, starting at approximately 6:30 pm central standard time. Tonight’s new episode will be a 90-minute event. So, expect it to wrap up at 8 pm central standard time.
