Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart Got In A Vicious Fight Over Cole Sprouse, New Details
According to a new report from People.com, actress Lili Reinhart (above left) who plays character Betty Cooper on CW’s hit drama series “Riverdale” decided to get in a pretty intense Twitter battle with a crazed female fan for calling her Jughead co-star Cole Sprouse (above right) disgusting and rude.
Apparently, the fan didn’t like Cole’s response to her when she jumped on him and hugged him like she knew him at some event in downtown Vancouver where they’re currently filming the second season of Riverdale.
We have the exact tweets of the report in question. They’re also posted on People.com. The fan’s Twitter account is @k_r0111 which she has now set to private. She tweeted, “ went out in downtown vancouver tonight and i bumped into the cast of riverdale.”
“I love that show and i was kinda drunk so i kinda approached @colesprouse in a friendly way as if i knew him.
“that’s just my personality tho right i’m just friendly like that”
“basically moral of the story downtown vancouver is trash and the cast of @CW_Riverdale are disgusting and rude.”
“I just wanna say F@#CK RUDE PEOPLE, don’t become a celeb if u want privacy, u get paid for having fans so respect them or be nice at least.
Lili Reinhart certainly did not let those comments slip by unaddressed. She went on her official Twitter account which is @lilireinhart . She tweeted, “You do not have the right to approach STRANGERS and throw your arms around us like you know us. What you did was not cool and inappropriate.”
“Cole’s response to you was “do I know you?” After you rudely invaded our space and got in our faces.”
“It’s easy to make us look like the bad guys because you think there’s no chance in hell we would ever call you out on it. Here you go.”
So, yeah. Lili really went off on this fan for calling them rude. I guess that fan couldn’t handle all that Twitter heat because she definitely has her account set to private now. That way she can talk about how rude she thinks the cast is without catching anymore public heat.
People.com also pointed out that there are rumors floating around that Lili and Cole are dating in real life. They say the two were spotted holding hands and kissing back in July 2017 at Entertainment Weekly‘s Comic-Con Bash in San Diego, California.
If Lili and Cole are dating, they have yet to officially announce it publicly. Fans that follow them closely started speculating their romance way back in May 2017 when Cole shared a photo of Lili on his official Instagram account.
Ever since then, Lili has done things like posting a photo of Cole on her Instagram to wish him a happy birthday. She captioned it with the words: “To the man who has showed me more beautiful places in this past year than I have ever seen in my whole life. Happy birthday, Cole. Thank you for all of the adventures and here’s to many more.”
