New ‘Fortnite’ Season 7 Start Date Officially Revealed By Epic Games
Happy Monday, “Fortnite” fans. We hope you guys had a great weekend. We’ve got some super great news for you guys. It turns out that Epic Games has indeed hopped on their official Twitter account to confirm exactly when the highly anticipated season 7 of your favorite video game will start up.
In their Twitter post they included a photo of a Fortnite Ice King character with the words Fortnite Season 7. Their caption reads like this, “A bitter ice spreads… 3 days to Season 7.” They released that message today, December 3, 2018. So, that means season 7 will officially start up this Thursday, December 6, 2018! Be sure to share this post with all your friends and get ready! It’s happening! By the looks of the photo in Epic Games’ tweet and their icy message, there’s no doubt that season 7 will likely have a winter theme to it. According to a new report from the folks over at Express.co.uk , Epic Games is currently gearing up to release even more season 7 teasers over the next, couple of days.
Also, the Fortnite, in-game timer says season 6 will end on the morning of December 6, 2018. So, it’s expected that the new season 7 will get underway possibly by the afternoon of that same day. We’ll have to wait and see. I’m pretty sure Epic Games will drops some more information about the official start time before then. Or at least we hope so.
Express.co.uk also pointed out that some major Fortnite news is going to be announced at The Game Awards this Thursday night, December 6, 2018. Geoff Keighly, who is the host of The Game Awards, recently told the press in a Question and Answers session: “Fortnite actually got announced by CliffyB at the VGAs 2011. Very different game, but yeah it was announced back then and we’re excited that they will be a part of the show.
We definitely have some Fortnite news. Donald Mustard will be here. They are a nominee as well so stay tuned for that. Yes, there will be Fortnite news at The Game Awards. I don’t think we’ve publicly said that yet but, yeah there will be stuff around Fortnite.”
Again it’s highly believed that Fortnite season 7 will feature some kind of winter theme and setting. Express.co.uk pointed out that the latest Fortnite update added an Iceberg which can be found off the south coast of the Fortnite map.
The iceberg has a castle on top, and is accompanied by a distant snowstorm which gets closer every day. If that’s not a hint, I don’t know what is.
In related Fortnite news, we just found this tweet from The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley. In this tweet, he said there will definitely be a Fortnite World Premiere presentation at the Game Awards. His exact caption reads like this, “Thursday during #TheGameAwards don’t miss a @fortnitegame announcement and world premiere from Epic’s @DonaldMustard, streaming live at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT everywhere. And oh yeah, keep your game close. #WorldsWillChange.”

Forbes.com also jumped on this Fortnite news bandwagon to reveal some extra info. Apparently, Fortnite has been nominated for a couple of Game Awards. It’s highly speculated that it could win for “best ongoing game” and possibly “best multiplayer game.”
Forbes released an update to their article. It claims that The Game Awards will not actually mark the launch of season 7. Instead, it’s believed that the big announcement at the Game Awards will have something to do with an in-game event that could possibly take place during the Game Awards as season 7 begins.
To sum this all up, we definitely know from Epic Games’ tweet that season 7 is definitely launching this Thursday, December 6, 2018. We just don’t know exactly what time yet. Definitely mark that very important date down on your video game calendars.
