Sarah Palin Wants An Apology From David Letterman
Apparently earlier this past week, David Letterman made a joke about one of Sarah Palin’s daughters saying, that she got knocked up by New York Yankee, Alex Rodriguez during their recent trip to New York. My sources say that Sarah thought he was talking about her 14 year old daughter named Willow. While David claims he was talking about her 18 year old daughter named Bristol. He said, he would “never, ever make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl.” He said the only thing he was guilty of was poor taste. Palin said he just took the time to think of a convenient excuse to claim he was talking about the older daughter instead.
Palin stated in an interview with Matt Lauer, “I would like to see him apologize to young women across the country for contributing to kind of that thread that is throughout our culture that makes it sound like it is OK to talk about young girls in that way, where it’s kind of OK, accepted and funny to talk about statutory rape. It’s not cool. It’s not funny.” She also said that it’s time for people to rise up against David Letterman’s kind of humor. She also said some more comments to that same effect in the interview.
Oh, they also say that she was upset that Barack Obama’s family were generally off limits during the Presidential campaign,but her family were the butt of most of the jokes.
Also,now in light of this situation, “The National Organization for Women” has placed David Letterman in their “Media Hall of Shame.”
Hmm, I never knew that existed,but ok.
She wants an apology for a joke? What, did he hurt her feelings? He went out of his way to explain the situation and as far as I’m concerned, he’s said all he needs to say. But I hope she rails on – she’s only making herself look silly and unfit for national politics.
