New ‘Snitch’ Movie Delivered Great Action,Drama,Plotline & More

New ‘Snitch’ movie delivered great action, drama, plotline & more. Summit Entertainment (Lionsgate) released their new action/thriller flick “Snitch” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it and thought it was great as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s character served up a shitload of action in an effort to free his son from prison by bringing down a large drug cartel. The movie stars: Dwayne Johnson, Susan Sarandon, Benjamin Bratt, Barry Pepper, Jon Bernthal, Michael Kenneth Williams, Nadine Velazquez, Melina Kanakaredes, Lela Loren, Harold Perrineau, and Rafi Gavron.

In the new flick, character John Matthews (Dwayne Johnson) is the owner of a successful small construction company and his son ,Jason, gets setup by one of his friends to accept a package of drugs that arrives in the mail. Apparently, it’s part of a big sting operation where they get people who have been busted for drugs to set up other busts in an effort to get their sentence reduced. Jason turns out to be the victim of one of those busts, and could get a mandatory minimum sentence of a 10 years in prison if he doesn’t help them bust other drug deals to reduce his sentence.

However, Jason refuses to set up people like that,so it appears that all hope is lost to get him out prison until John sets up a meeting with local District Attorney ,Joanne Keeghan, to get him out of jail if he helps orchestrate and complete a dangerous, drug deal/sting operation. They initially negotiate Jason’s sentence down to just 6 months if he can pull it off.

From there, John gets one of his ex-convict employees,Daniel James, to give him an introduction to dangerous drug dealer Malik. John sells him a fake story about his construction business doing badly and needs to make some extra money by secretly transporting their drugs to wherever they need them, using his huge diesel trucks. Malik believes the story and sets him up to do his first pick-up run with Daniel in tow.

After successfully completing that run, things go awry when agent Cooper fails to bust Malik after he mentions dealing with a higher cartel drug member than himself, because it could lead to an even bigger bust. Eventually, that bigger bust presents itself to John by transporting all their drug money into Mexico. However,it also had higher risk of John getting killed, which allowed John to renegotiate a better deal of getting Jason out of jail immediately upon completion of the risky task instead of the previous 6 month deal.

This set up a huge conclusion that was filled with twists and turns,a big car chase, gun shootouts, death, and more. It was highly intense,action-filled,and very suspenseful. I enjoyed watching every minute of this film as the plot was highly intriguing. I was completely swept up in the story, wondering how all the drama would play out.

Dwayne Johnson played the courageous role quite well. Also, former Walking Dead, Shane actor,Jon Bernthal, played the ex-con Daniel role very well. It was good to see him back in action. I gave the movie a great A grade. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Tumblr by Clicking Here.
