Pokemon Is Going To Release New Pokemon Sword And Pokemon Shield Games Soon

Happy Sunday,Pokemon Go fans. We’ve got a bit of interesting news for you guys today. It turns out that the Pokemon franchise is about to expand even more with the release the Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield games. According to a recent report from the folks over at Pokemongohub.net, the big announcement was revealed at the recent Nintendo’s Pokemon Direct event.

At that event, it was revealed that the new Pokemon Sword and Shield games will take place in the Galar region, which is a vast landmass filled with new Generation 8 Pokemon.

Galar is an expansive region with many environments that contain idyllic countrysides, contemporary cities, vast planes and craggy snow-covered mountains. People and Pokemon live and work together to develop the industry of the region.

Three new Generation 8 starters were revealed at the big Nintendo Pokemon direct event. The first one is called, “Grookey GRASS.” It’s described as being a mischievous Chimp Pokémon that is full of boundless curiosity.

The second one is called, “Scorbunny FIRE.” It’s described as being a Rabbit Pokémon that is always running about and bursting with energy.

The third one is called, “Sobble WATER.” It’s described as being a somewhat timid Water Lizard Pokémon that shoots out attacks as it hides itself in the water.

Pokemongohub pointed out that Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are new role-playing games that should resonate well with both old and new fans. Junichi Masuda is the Producer of Pokémon Sword and Shield. Shigeru Ohmori is the Director over both titles.

IGN.com provided a little bit more intel about the new Pokemon Sword and Shield games. They say trainers will still be training their Pokémon and battling in Gyms. At the same time, they will work to earn the title of Champion and becoming the very best.

Pokemon Sword and Shield is scheduled to release on the Nintendo Switch in late 2019 sometime. No specific date has been revealed yet, but we’ll certainly keep an eye out for it and let you guys know what that important date is.
